Yeah I doubt it's intrinsic to the ROM, but perhaps there's a particular hangup that our particular Droids are exploiting. Or maybe the dev is a Red Sox fan. I dunno, I'm usually in over my head w/ this stuff.

I swear, I was NOT involved in any way. <evil grin>

OK, Fab...I'm gonna try your update.zip for the fun of it. Be fun to see if the reboot following the update.zip screws up my setup. I just can't stand not futzing, and this looks like a quick and easy futz. ;)

If it fails I'll just nandroid back to my last 5.0.7.1 safety nandroid and try more 2.2 (and John's suggestions) when I have more time.

I can just run it right over my current setup, I assume...

And at least I know better by now, given my odd issues, than to waste my time making a nandroid first. :D

Suuuuuurrrrrrre you weren't... It is always a Red Sox fan's fault...

Note: I am in no way a bitter Indians fan who is still pissed off that we lost in the ALCS in 07 after being up 3 games to none, no way, nope, why would you ask?!?

You want bitter?

How many times did the ATL Braves win the NLCS?

How many World Series?

'Nuff said!

@john the market fix is already implemented in this. Before, apps like tapatalk pro, exzeus, and orb live weren't showing up.

@red haha, sounds like a plan. I'm crossing my fingers for you! An idea, since it's an update.zip, maybe you can run it and restore just the data partition of a good froyo install?

No, I was asking for another user in another thread, but he has a Milestone - no wonder it isn't showing for his phone....

Well, aside from not having MotoTorch, this ROM is AMAZING! I don't know what will happen when the Incredible gets rooted, but as of right now, the speed diff argument is null and void completely.

If you're experiencing a very slow market and rebooting doesn't help, go into application settings, all, market, and clear data.

Then reload the market. After the initial load, market was 2.1 fast again.

Literally snuck out of the bedroom just before we're going to bed to post this..................

IT WORKED!!!!

Fab, you are a genius!!!

1056 on Quadrant at 800MHz...

Off to bed, sweet dreams to all, and to all a good night. :D

I'm getting ready to install nexfro 1.01 but I only show 3 files to install in clockwork. Is that correct, I'm just wondering because the next fro beta had six

This isn't a nandroid. Keep it zipped. Use ROM manager to install ROM from SD card.

If I'm running nexfro beta what's the easiest way to upgrade to 1.01, what would I need to do, I have clockwork if that helps

Download the update.zip and put it into the root of your sd card. Download any of the kernels from the OP if you want to go higher than 800 mhz and put it into the root of your sd. Go into rom manager and reboot into recovery. Wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition. Others will tell you don't have to when just updating but I always do and never had any problems. Then go to install zip from sdcard and then choose zip from sdcard. Navigate down to nexfro101.zip and choose that. Once that's done you can either reboot your phone and login your gmail and set everything up and then flash the new kernel. Or you can flash the kernel after you flashed the rom using the same steps just picking the kernel zip instead of the rom.

Is Apps Installer FC on anyone else?

Edit: Can anyone recommend a working app installer so I can install flash?

Edit 2: Installed it through Astro.

Update.zip = NexFro101.zip?

I love that 1.0.1 is wicked quick, but the broken wifi sucks a bit. I went from NexBeast1.1 to NexFro 1.0.1, after wiping everything (system/data/cache), but wifi is still stuck "scanning."

Thanks, Fab, for another fabulous release!

Apps installler is working perfectly fine on both of my FroYo installs.

About to do Fab's update - but it should still work....
