I believe I'll have to wait until tomorrow before I see if this issue was fixed or not. Just gotta hope I don't trip over or run into anything on my way to bed as I can't see in the dark. lol

The blue energy theme from John on Droid Forums.net came off the original FRF57build and had mototorch malfuction.
Now the most resent version has the mototorch fix built in so im sure its an easy fix, exspecially for Fab. Being he did write the framework.

Damn Fab...
1.0.1 looks and runs great but I still can't access my WIFI network (WPA2 on a Belkin N router). I upgraded the baseband (and tried every previous baseband and played with all the 2.2 kernels). It recognizes my network but just gets stuck at "Obtaining IP address"). 2.1 ROMs have no problem. I want to join the Froyo party but this is really getting frustrating! I even tried turning off my router's security but same problem

Alright so im trying to install the 1.1 rom. So here is my issue, im using clockwork recovery, I unzipped the file, but it only has 3 items, so whats the next step, because im pretty sure it needs six and I keep getting the MD5 mismatch when trying to restore. I completely wiped my phone right now, but im coming from nexfro beta. Any help is grateful.

EDIT: Nevermind, had to apply it as update.zip Ahhh lol and reboot clockwork. LoL, the joy of flashing, great work by the way FAB- time to Holla back woot woot

:(Fab, I still get the Wifi stuck at "Scanning..." on 1.0.1, and I made sure it was off before I flashed as suggested by a previous poster...:(:(:(:(:(

EDIT 8:15 AM: Just flashed 1.0.1 again, same result. Going back to stock 2.2 with Clean Black Theme until this is fixed.

having the same problem now. initially it worked. but now after flashing to p3 1000ghz kernel i get stuck at scanning. :(

Right now I am still on Nextheme 1.1 with android 2.1. Can I use the update zip and go directly to 2.2 with NexFro 1.0.1 or do I have to load 1.0 first using the nandroid?

Ok stupid question but can I wipe everything but data on an advanced nandroid restore and then restore everything but data when flashing nexfro? (EDIT: I am running the first leak of Froyo)

Yes, you can wipe everything except DATA and then restore everything except DATA. That's exactly what I did without issue...

I liked what i saw initially. As you said it was a little slow to start but it seemed to pick up. Had to go back to NexBeast 1.1 however, the little progress bar thing was annoying and i had some issues that i can't really report...too random. But looking forward to this once some more bugs are ironed out.

Now that i think about it there was one thing that really pushed me backto NexBeast 1.1, I could not restore apps with ASTRO. I could see all my backed up apps, and when i tried to select the ones i wanted it came back and said "None Selected" Probably an ASTRO problem but wanted to note it.

One question i do have...I remember looking through forums and stumbling across a busybox script that removed ads from apps. I cannot find it anymore but if you know what i am talking about i would love to see this incorporated in the builds. Thanks. Keep up the great work.

I had the same issue with ASTRO

Ive been loving this so far, Ive had a few issues at first (for some reason i had 3g radio issues) but after a quick reinstalling everything fix itself there, my only other issue is the froyo issue with Google Voice.

Ok, so far everything works, but I would like to point out something "strange".

My wi-fi is connected, but the signal strength meter shows no bars.

Here is my config:
NexFro 1.0.1 w/ stock kernel

Here are a couple screenshots of what I'm talking about.

The first one shows an empty wi-fi signal meter and the second shows a strange new icon that shows up every now and then in my notification tray.

Any clues as to what is going on???

Thanks,
Mike

Everything has been running good for me so far. Grabbed it last night, the only issue I have is that there is double ringtones/notifications when I go to select one.

That strange new icon is GPS, lol.

As far as why you're getting a low/no wi-fi signal I'm not sure of. I mean obvious issues is too far/too close to the router, I'm on wifi with this rom with zero issues in that area.

Woke up this morning. Saw there was a new version. Clicked the chrome to phone button on Firefox. Downloaded and updated in the car on the way to work.
It looks great thanks fab.

The likelihood is that you have an unzipped ROM file stored somewhere on your SD card, which is causing the duplication. At one point, I had 3 or 4 different replications, but when I went in and deleted the unzipped ROMS, the duplications went away.

thought you were in bed - wifey is gonna kill your ass....

I was in bed! Huddled unger the covers with my droid while my bride dozed quietly next to me...felt like a 10 year old with a comic book after bed time.

;)

Rom still working this am...WOOT!
