I was having trouble getting my benchmarks up when I realized I had SetCPU set to "ondemand" and not "performance". I set my min and max as high as it will go and I changed my Quadrant from 1280 at 1GHz to 1404.

EDIT: Oh, when you do that, don't forget to set it back ;-)

I did that a while ago and things got a little unstable - everything was choppy and stuttery and slowed my speed way down. Had to put SetCPU back to default position and now things are smooth again. My new benchmark is 1100+ so it appears I'm better off opting for a smoother performance - also, it seems Froyo (NexFro 1.0.1) is getting faster as I use it.

Thats running NexFro 1.0.1 with the 1.1 p3kernel

I'm having problems even opening the Market. I try and it opens up a blank screen and closes (not FC). I have tried fixing permissions, rebooting, and clearing data.

Any fixes?

What does it say when you try to update? I think it should work...?

You'll just lose some of the themed elements.

If you can't update, then just use the 'rmlp' script to remove launcherpro, then reinstall from the market.

I had to do that. I had to run the script, reboot, and then the market install worked. Before the reboot it would fail just after the download.

Interesting...when I was running NexFro I never had any issues updating Launcher Pro.

Speaking of which, version 5.1 of Launcher Pro is out, and it has the smoothest, fastest, non-laggiest 3D app drawer ever created...it is like silk on crack...smooth and fast! :D

Did you try going to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, selecting All to show all apps, and then finding Market, select it and clear cache?

My exact steps were clear cache (cachemate)

Shutdown -->reboot+x (SPRecovery): clear cache, clear cache, wipe, wipe (which actually formats the cache 2x. Install BB 0.1 and still slow market/ no download. Had to clear the cahce in the method as described above. Apparently the cache for market comes from the google server when you reuse your gmail account. Because instantly when I cleared it as redflea listed I began downloading.

Which Kernels are seeing the best performance / lowest voltage and temperatures?

Looking more carefully at Manup's images vs. the stock ones, it seems a lot of them aren't the same dimensions.

I'm worried that this may be what's causing some issues, though it did not seem to matter in 2.1 (maybe 2.2 checks more thoroughly?)

But that's a real b*tch cause there's about 658 images to go through, and if it's that the cause of the problem...well then that's a whole lot of time wasted :(

Can't you just use a batch image resizing program or Photoshop with a batch script?

Looking forward to a fix for the wifi, but wanted to say that this is the first real chance I've had to monitor NexFro's battery usage under my normal working conditions and it has been fantastic!

I'm using P3's 1100lv and a SetCPU setting of 900 max/250 min....hoping this will be typical but still liking this ROM...very smooth and fast!

Ok I updated my Launcher pro, this may have been too much work but here is what I did.

*********Revert to default launcher before doing this or it will cause heartache! and make sure you have a backup before trying******************************

I used root explorer to delete the Launcher pro from System/app Then used market to install the new version, Then use root explorer to copy it back to the system/app folder. ( It copied it instead of moving even though I tried to move it) and renamed it with a -1 at the end. I had to go back to the Data/app folder to delete the copy there to save space, I guess you could uninstall it through apps or market. Then renamed the system file by deleteing the -1. You have to reboot phone and it will be there. Use Titanium to save settings or you will have to reload all shortcuts.

I dunno if this is a waste of time or if there is another way to do it but it works great.

I found that some apps are getting stuck installing after download from market, Dont click cancel download or it will erase the app. if this happens use a file explorer like astro and go to the downloads folder, the app wil be there just tap on it to install. (This wont work for apps intalled in the system folder)

These are temporary fixes hopefully these bugs get worked out soon, Hopefully Petes Bugless will have fixes and we can get a NexTheme for that.

After doing this I cleared cache and data from Market and everything seems to be god with the market now.

I'm waiting till tonight when he fixes the battery icon.. lol Besides My phone is working great! BTW EVERY kernel that I have tried besides the one that comes with this rom P3D 1000 causes my WIFI to break and phone to tweak out!! Maybe FAB.. Just maybe... Look into that kernel and see if anything is different??

I agree. Your beta is my favorite ROM. The only reason I'm not on it still is because I can't seem to get the musicmod widgets on it. But if I could, I would stay on it. I love the green loading circle most of all, and it's the only ROM with it that I have used. It's only slightly slower than NexBeast 0.1 for me, so speed isn't an issue. Only issue I have with it is the weird heart rate download bar, but meh I can live with it.
