I was having trouble getting my benchmarks up when I realized I had SetCPU set to "ondemand" and not "performance". I set my min and max as high as it will go and I changed my Quadrant from 1280 at 1GHz to 1404.
EDIT: Oh, when you do that, don't forget to set it back ;-)
I did that a while ago and things got a little unstable - everything was choppy and stuttery and slowed my speed way down. Had to put SetCPU back to default position and now things are smooth again. My new benchmark is 1100+ so it appears I'm better off opting for a smoother performance - also, it seems Froyo (NexFro 1.0.1) is getting faster as I use it.
