Anyone's 3g not working? I am in SoCal and all of a sudden have completely lost 3g. I am also on the newest baseband. I have wiped my phone, tried other roms and reactivated. No luck.

Mine was like that too. I flashed back to C_01.3E.03P and haven't had a problem yet.

Here's a link to it if you want it.

Major F. Anyone know how to downgrade the baseband. That is the only thing I haven't tried.

1. Download that file I linked to. (C_01.3E.03P)
2. Reboot into recovery.
3. Install files from sd.
4. Select the file.

That's the way I did it and it worked fine for me. It's not the newest baseband.
I use clockwork and didn't wipe anything by the way.

I've just discovered something important about the Nex Fro ROM. It will not allow my Droid to charge it's battery when sitting in the dock unless the USB cable is plugged in to the charger. In fact, I've confirmed that even if you sit there for an hour repeatedly checking the battery level, it will not charge if not plugged in! I know, shocking.

Please don't make the same mistake I did, and assume that when using this fantastic ROM you can just leave the USB connector from the dock in the general vicinity of the plug module on the power strip. Evidently, even on NexFro, you have to remember to actually plug the USB cable into the plug module.

No need to donate, I share this out of the goodness of my heart.

;)

Thanks for the laugh, flea. Glad to see your sense of humor was not destroyed in messing with these 2.2 installs....

Well, I thought the flash apologize was on the first page but now that I'm browsing on my phone can't find it..can someone link it for me please? Loving this rom!

Thank you, downgrading didn't give me 3g back. I am thinking a tower in my area has gone bad. I am going to drive around and see if I can get it back.

Just a general data point...NexFro started acting up (actually, shutting down spontaneously would be a better description) so I decided to try the the updated release of the BB Froyo ROM (I believe from yesterday - the small fixes version) to see if that would get me wifi back...Nop - I do not have working WiFi on install complete. Haven't done anything but install it, and am using a network that was already in my list after install.

WiFi turns on fine, gets IP fine, but nothing can connect...browser, youtube, etc., all fail. No theme, no nuthin but plain BB...trying to ping the BB fails.

And...my headset problems appear to have been a problem w/the headset, not the Droid, so I don't even get to return the friggin' thing for a replacement! <deep calming breaths...>

A quick comment...BBFroyo definitely has smoother scroling in the browser for me, so it may be something in NexTheme that is causing the scrolling jagginess that I've seen in NexFro, Fab...

Ok.. so.. wth.. I flashed this ROM 3 times now, the third time it worked but..its STILL 2.1 ??? The first time I had no 3G so i couldnt activate, second time failed to Flash..and third im at 2.1 (i wiped and cleaned many times before doing either time)

Agreed, browser problems are almost non existent in bbfroyo, even the version with nextheme that justin posted.. Thats with flash plug in always on too. Has to be something with memory allocation since that's the only big difference between the two since they are the same build and theme. Just trying to help pin point bugs!

Well I was exploding again so I had to do a data wipe and for the first time things didn't reload from the market. And surprise, the ROM was running great.

Then discovered that market wasn't working properly, couldn't see apps like Astro or Beautiful widgets. So applied the market fix that's floating around and market then wouldn't work at all - never displayed any apps. Cleared market cache/data, rebooted, etc., no go.

So just did another data wipe and trying again. Have to stay up late to get some work done, so got the time to futz...but at some point I have to get sane and reload my 5.0.7.1 nandroid and forget this for a while. ;)

Ah I a sorry red flea...when u get a replacement all will be good. I wiped data and cache and installed the update.zip with cw mod and then restored data from my backup...all went as planned. Fab you are the man...i may move to bb but i am like the U of I goodness :) I still do not understand all the wifi problems everyone is having. I got a 1450 with quad at 1.2 Ghz. beautiful.

Yeah, after multiple reboots and battery running down to 10%, I threw in the towel and reloaded my CM 5.0.7.1 nandroid...oh man, what a pleasure to have my phone running super fast and smooth again w/no worries. I'm going to miss the new exchange functionality and BT dialing, but my phone is just too sensitive to this stuff for these early leaks...

I'm stuck w/my current phone, as I found the headphone issue was a specific headphone problem, tried several others and all worked great, so no return/refurb for me now. But looking on the bright side, CM 5.0.8 change log does say experimental BT dialing is included. ;) Loaded a themed version of the 5.0.8 test 1 build...that's going to have to suffice for now.

I couldn't get wifi to work on any nexfro Rom,I wiped and reflashed them 1.0 and 1.01 trying to get it to work no go.I installed BB and wifi works got Nexfro backed up waiting for a fix love the theme regular is so boring

I believe so.

One last little teaser...done at 1GHz.

zipping up the file and uploading now...

Geez that's smoking fast. I'm only getting 1100 with the 1.2Ghz kernel and Setcpu. How are you getting such high speeds?

I was having trouble getting my benchmarks up when I realized I had SetCPU set to "ondemand" and not "performance". I set my min and max as high as it will go and I changed my Quadrant from 1280 at 1GHz to 1404.

EDIT: Oh, when you do that, don't forget to set it back ;-)

Anyone running the new baseband? I'm using it on a 2.1 ROM and barely getting 500k download speeds instead of the >1Mb that I used to get.
