Hey fab what speed kernel did you include with this rom? And is flash installed already? thanks for your speedy work on this rom.
 
Grabbing it now. Kinda unfortunate that my Titanium Backup license has not come through and I cannot use the market doctor yet.
 
Just put this in the theme sticky too. If you don't want it there Fab, let me know and I will remove it.

Found the first "Easter Egg" I think...the progress bar when signing into Google on first boot (then screen blanks)???

I thought that by allowing multiple items, if I added more later, you could re-vote. I don't believe this is the case :(

The kernel is 1GHz with 250/400/600/700/800/900/1000 slots. Defaults to 600/250. No flash, but the link is in the OP, along with more info that I will be updating soon.

The bar! I don't remember anything blanking though... :confused:
 
Installing as we speak. I wonder if I will need to manually reinstall flash this time for it to work. Very excited I am!!

Edit* just realized I we have to install flash on our own anyway. all good.

Well for me at least...when it successfully signed in, the screen went blank (I let it sit there for about 10 seconds and then slid the keyboard closed...then the screen came back on as usual.

You know I'm gonna jump all over this. If there's a 2.2 ROM that will work on my Droid, it has to be yours. :D

I don't know about being a 100x better. I'm just comfortable with sprecovery. If it ain't broke don't fix it. ;-) Anyway question still stands for Fab. Sprecovery nandroid?

Also found that the "installing" progress bar inside of the market has the same "heart monitor" flickering progress bar. Just FYI, I know you're looking for bugs :)
 
Okay, maybe I am doing something wrong here. I installed to PC-Mounted to Droid-Copied "NexFro" to Droid (SD) - Opened up Clockwork-Install from SD - Selected "NexFro"-Install. ( Cache and Data were already wiped). The phone reboots and looks as if it is going to update and then goes straight to Clockwork Recovery Screen which gives you the option reboot/backup/etc. I pressed reboot and it went straight back to my normal wiped out NexBeast ROM...sigh...no update. Am I missing something?

Its a backup file, not an update.zip. You have to extract it to the clockwork/backup folder and restore the backup

I have no idea...but it shouldn't be different than using the 2.1 baseband with a 2.0.1 ROM, which is possible. The baseband and ROM are separate.

I think it shouldn't cause any problems.

It's not an installable .zip. You need to use nandroid to restore it. I've put some actual instructions in the OP now (slipped my mind earlier)
