Root [TIP] Quick Baseband Switching

I switched to the current baseband but in about phone it still says the old one how do I check it in terminal

Are you sure you did it correctly?
Try it without the one package option. Just put ops in ops and phone in phone, and hit start

Hi.....can someone please post just the ff19 baseband(phone tar)please? becuz the files in the odin thread are corrupted....won't open. Thanks in advance.

Are you dl'ing them over WiFi? What are you using to open then? I use 7zip... seems to work fine for me

yeah tried using windows explorer to unzip and 7zip and neither worked ....although I only tried the rooted one, I never tried the stock one. And I was actually using wireless tether on my prevail but that is the only internet access I have presently and even though it's slow I have never had that kind of trouble with it as far as files being corrupted.

Hey guys, so I apologize in advance, I'm very very much a noob.. you know those people that you say "hey bro, probably shouldn't f*ck with rooting your phone when you don't know what you're doing" to? Yeah, that would be me.. here's the catch.. I was smart enough to not try. But, apparently my husband wasnt.

"But it sounded so easy!" Now ive spent 10+ hours on his brand new Samsung Prevail (Boost) trying to fix it.. and although I feel way smarter, i'm stumped (and OVER IT really) when it comes to this last (and final?) Signal issue. The most I've seen anywhere since the root is 2 bars, and that was for about 5 minutes.

Soo, question is (possibly a stupid one, but my first) is it possible to fix this problem without having a computer? If not, what's the simplest most effective way to just, well, unscrew the pooch completely? Cause owning a phone that does everything you need EXCEPT BE A PHONE sucks.

Thanks again...! :)

Welcome to the forums!
If you did not change the baseband, the modem or the prl, it should not affect the signal. They could be working on towers in your area. sometimes a rom will read different than others but still work the same. Did you change any of those things?
