[Verizon] Nandroid backup question

I made a nandroid before flashing the rom but when i try to restore to it it says md5 verification failed. I am able to flash my nandroid post root though

I cant flash my nandroid backup from before the rom install. It says md5 mismatch.

Only nandroid i have is post root. Fml any suggestions?

Rooted/unlocked
Nandroid backup (this is the one with md5 mismatch)

Flashed in imm76k deodexed rom 4.0.4 with mods
Nandroid backup

If i would like to go back to the md5 mismatch how can i

I can tell you how to do this, but its a very bad idea, IMO...

The MD5 check is in there for a reason. For a Nandroid restore (or backup, for that matter) to fail an MD5 check means that the data backed-up in your .img files does not compute to the same checksums as what is listed in that particular Nandroid backup's nandroid.md5 file. I.e., the data is suspect / not trustworthy.

I guess ill just wipe, clear cache, clear dalvik then flash a jb rom.
Unless anyone knows a way to easily get to stock rooted?

Not true stock, which would currently be ICS with stock recovery. To go back there, you'd need to fast boot flash all the stock imgs, then root again. I mean you could flash a stock deodexed rom which would be the same thing minus the ability to accept an ota update.

Here's the thing though...now that you are a root user, you can just flash your way forward. If you want a nandroid for an escape plan, just make one right now if you have a stable setup.
For me, the only time I'd consider going back to stock is if I needed to return a phone.
