Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

I just got off the phone with a rep, she said the automated line is only saying it's shipped and no tracking number (saying phone is active) because it's still processing and that is has not shipped yet.

Oh well all you can do is keep waiting

They are all pretty standard micro-USB chargers. Interchangeable.

All I'm worried about is if my current charger is fast enough to increase charge while audio and nav is on. Some chargers barely keep a steady charge while others fail completely.

Ordered 6/22 (32GB Marble White). CC charged 7/6 around 6pm. No tracking number yet but I see a + sign =) Wooohooo. I leave town on wed 7/11 for a week so was hoping would arrive by this tuesday

I got the verizon shipment email and tracking number this morning at 9am. Estimated delivery is Jul 9, 2012 by 3:00 PM

As of today Best Buys in my area none have any Verizon S3's. At this point I'll be surprised if they get any preorders in on Monday.

I am not exactly confident they will either.

I am in on the west coast. Pre-ordered on the 20th. Got my tracking number and it is in transit already, and will be arriving by 3pm monday.

What is your pre order stuff say when you check the status?

Since my phone will be here in a few days, went to Verizon to see if they had any of the accessories. Really just wanted a case for now.

Girl says "Oh, we can't sell those until the 10th."

I counter that they're just the accessories, not the phone. Other guys says "We can sell them now, just not the phone."

So, they got me the case I wanted.

Their conversation led me to believe they've already got a stock of S3's ready and waiting.

Has your card been charged already? I re-ordered on the 26th after having to change credit cards and mine hasn't been charged yet. No activity from Verizon and you seem to be the 2nd person from the 27th whose status has changed and I'm seeing nothing.

I'm thankful for those of you still with me (misery loves company) to give me something to read and distract me from (or add to) my sorrow.

Called Customer Service yesterday to verify that everything was still on track (ship 7/10/12 w/2 day delivery). Making sure everything runs smoothly is very important so that I maintain my grandfathered unlimited data plan

I used a gift card though, not a CC for mine and they still don't have one for me. I think they may just be really backed up in their system.

I ordered my phone on 6/22 and have an "Expected Ship Date of 7/11" I have not received any notification for shipping nor has my CC been charged yet. I see that it is generally a crap shoot on when your phone is being shipped since people who ordered on 6/27 have gotten their shipping notification.

So my simple question is has anyone who ordered on 6/22 gotten any notifications yet?

I ordered on 6/22.....CC got charge yesterday (7/6) at 6pm.....confirmation on shipping email from verizon and tracking number received at 9am today (7/7) and expected delivery date of Monday 7/9 by 3pm

Nope. My credit card charge is still pending/processing and I got an email notice for Monday delivery. 32 GB White.

I'm doing a little prework in anticipation of receiving my GS3. I am going to be swapping phones with my fiancee (she gets my Gnex) and going to the airport within an hour of getting the GS3. So I broke out my old Dinc, erased the memory card, and am now loading it up with:

Music
Movies
Backed up text messages
photos

So i'll activate the phone (and new sim), swap sims, and slap in the memory card and I'll be able to play with my new toy at the airport and on my flight.

Pretty impressive... according to my tracking it took 50 hrs to get from PA to Indy (24 hr lay over in Indy) and only 7 mins to get from Indy to Denver LOL.

I checked my pre-order again this morning, and I was greeted with this bs:

So I called Verizon and the rep tells me that the phone is out of stock, and that is the problem with my order. (I ordered the white 32GB on 6/26). And I never received an email to see what "the email sent" said about this.

I can't cancel and buy in store because I'm trying to grandfather my unlimited data plan. What should I do? I guess just wait then?

UGH.

The 32GB version will not be in stores on day one, but will only be available online for a while. So if you want a 32GB GS3 now, then online is the only way.

Well, it's encouraging that they're "sitting there". I was kind of afraid I wouldn't be able to get my hands on one on Tuesday since I pre-ordered on the 26th.


I sort of forgot about this phone, to be honest. I bought a new car on Monday and I've been having a love affair with it ever since (2012 VW GTI). This'll give me a week to get that new car rush out of my blood and I'll be able to then focus my attention again on the S3.
