Well, it's encouraging that they're "sitting there". I was kind of afraid I wouldn't be able to get my hands on one on Tuesday since I pre-ordered on the 26th.
I sort of forgot about this phone, to be honest. I bought a new car on Monday and I've been having a love affair with it ever since (2012 VW GTI). This'll give me a week to get that new car rush out of my blood and I'll be able to then focus my attention again on the S3.
The AT&T was in stock there not the Verizon.
What'd you end up going with? I was strongly considering the Mazda3speed but it was a little too long - needed a shorter car to fit in my garage which is why I bought a new one in the first place.
I know - I figured if the AT&T S3s are sitting on the floor then we should be ok when our time comes.

I snowboard in the mountains a lot so I wanted all wheel drive. Ended up getting a '12 WRX 5-door limited.
dam i had to wait an entire month (still dont have it yet) and you only wait 10 days ... someone at verizon hates lol

I called Verizon and they told me my order is just fine and it will ship on the 10th. I old the nice lady I otdered on the 20th and people who ordered a week after me are already getting the phone. I also mentioned hat my preorder is coming after the stores have the phone. She said she knew nothing about my delay because it is a warehouse issue. hen she offerred me a $20 credit for the inconvenience. I would prefer a phone.

they dont deliver to peoples houses or business on sundays, but things are still moving as far as airplanes and trucks to other fedex locations....especially the overnight and priority stuff

next time someone asks I will just tell them to read the whole damn thread.
and seriously all you people crying about you ordered the phone on the 20th or later and gettin mad that you still dont have a tracking number need to just chill out. I ordered back on the 10th, and no tracking number either, if your lucky enough to get it shipped sooner good for you, if its shipped by the date they said then all is well isn't it, the only people I have any sorrow for are the ones who got their order dropped due to stocking issues.

This brings to mind an unanswered question of mine. I've had the same cell number (which I don't give out, as we still have a landline) for several cell phone upgrades. So my cell number is still firmly implanted in several old phones, and despite my best research online how to remove it. Destroying the phone would be one way. Personally I would like to donate them to a good cause, once I ever learn how to remove my number. Anyone know how??

typically a hard reset that forces one to reprogram their phone. you would have to check with each specific phone models instructions.

June 24th order for 16gb blue, still nothing... no plus sign on tracking, no charge on card, fedex track by reference doesn't work in any combo, etc. Bah, humbug! I want my new phone, both for personal fun and for dev use

:congrats: Yay!! my phone has decided to end its furlough in Indy and is now at the sorting facility in Denver
Pretty impressive... according to my tracking it took 50 hrs to get from PA to Indy (24 hr lay over in Indy) and only 7 mins to get from Indy to Denver LOL.

wrong choice of words on my part but a few posts up I have seen 32GB white orders having the ship by dates pulled as a result. they will get shipped eventually.

How does someone else getting a bonus hurt me? Does it improve my situation if they *didn't* get their phone? No. And I don't raise my kids to cry 'no fair' unless it truly affects them negatively.
I ordered 6/12, cc charged 2 days ago, no shipping update yet. I'm not going to begrudge someone else's good fortune. When it gets past my expected shipping date then I have something to gripe about.

yeah, I'd say it's a failure on vzw's part that a lot of people aren't going to get their by Monday, which as far as I know was as close to an official release date as we were given.
I'd like to know if any of you got shipping info a day or more after it actually shipped? Here's why I ask...
My cc was charged 2 days ago. I called VZ and they said that the order was 'released' late on 7/5, meaning it was cleared for the warehouse to give it to Fedex, or cleared for Fedex to ship it, or something like that.
Does anyone know how that chain release/shipping works. I do know that it can be a day until VZ gets shipping info, so I'm holding out hope that maybe it shipped on Friday but with today being Saturday VZ didn't get the shipping info?
I know I'm grasping at straws.
