[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Anybody getting random re-activation sequences? I've been on M5 for a few weeks now, and it just started happening this last week. I'll try to grab a screenshot next time it happens, but it doesn't require me to do anything, it just says, "Activating, please wait. This may take a few minutes..." blah blah blah. It only stays at the activation stage for less than 30 seconds, then the UI restarts and everything's back to normal.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Maybe sim card issue idk. Have you tried re-seating it? Have you done anything with/to the phone that stands out in your mind just prior to this happening?
 
M5- Anyone else getting no screens or launcher after reboots? It doesn't happen often but when it happens, it usually takes 2-3 reboots to fix it.

Yes, Nova launcher often fails to load. Seems to happen if I don't unlock the phone right away on a reboot. When it happens, I do a search titanium, find it on my phone, open it and restore nova data. Then the launcher will relaunch. At least that'll save you having to reboot.
 
Just stepped back in here from being preoccupied with building a new PC. Glad to see the AOKP backup app and made the purchase.
I'm building an i7 3770k liquid cooled monster and my Nexus is getting a tad neglected.

I mean my phone boots up with only the softkeys visible. No widgets, launcher, nothing.

I'm using Nova Launcher. I can tell that Nova has loaded because when I flip from page to page it's the tablet animation but nothing ever loads. Makes be believe it's something within Nova that is causing the issue.

I just built mine this Spring with the bang for buck award winning i5-2500K, 2 SSD's, and a high-end vid card. Why? I have no clue I don't need all that speed, but it is fun!

Oh yeah, and it's cooled by O2 ;)

I know how many people love Nova so I won't offer my opinion on it :laugh:.

I will say to give another launcher a try though to see if it resolves your issue :) Zeam, Apex, Go, AppLauncher, etc... or my fave, Trebuchet

I've been using Nova since way early beta but have been tempted to try Apex lately... But won't do it unless they add drawer folders. I love me my drawer folders :)
 
Is anyone else having trouble sending video messages? Every time I try to send a video (30 seconds or less) it tells the size limit has been reached, and so it won't let me send it.

Edit: I'm going through the messaging app and selecting the paper clip , then "capture video" as I assume it should automatically size it but nope....

It can auto size pics, not videos
Swap your video mode to MMS mode
 
B36 vs rumored OTA: can we be sure all potential changes from the 4.0.4 leak are the same as the final 4.0.4? I know B36 has a bunch of them in it, but I don't want to flash it if B37 will be out right after we (hopefully) get 4.0.4 OTA.
 
Had anyone else noticed lockscreen music controls being really flaky? Sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not... And sometimes it shows up for a second and then disappears instantly
