[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Anyone else's kernel voltages and governor not sticking after boot on 38?

EDIT: Never mind. I guess I didn't let my phone sit enough for ROM Control to kick in after boot... :D
 
Just wanted to give some praise - Build 38 is the best experience I've ever had with any device - EVER. Any device. I'm talking across the board - from 4 bread at a time toasters, to water in the refrigerator door, to laptops, to high end computers. I LOVE THIS DEVICE and THIS ROM.

Also started using lean kernel - have been for three days - I just got damn near 18 hours on a charge with some serious voice call usage and moderate internet and social app use.

So.... What widgets are in your navbar?

I put the week weather forecast from beautiful widgets and vlingo control.

But I already have a weather widget and a vlingo widget on my homescreen, so its a little redundant.

Anyone having any issues with the messaging App? Lately whenever i recieve a text message, i turn my phone on and start typing a response, but realize there's nothing being put into the text box, the keyboard reads what im saying and making grammatical suggestions, but i see nothing being put into the bar. i have to completely exit the app and then reopen it to actually type again.

I'm on B38

Remove em from your home screen! More room for a sweet wallpaper :)
 
But I'm lazy.... That's more clicks. Lol
I'm trying to make the nav widgets useful rather than a novelty, but I can't think of anything really useful to put there. Right now its about as cool as the swagger toggle lol

Edit: if there was a direct dial widget that could fit 4 or 5 contacts on it..... Now that would be useful.

I have this problem a couple times a week on B37. Strangely, I had this same issue with my Dinc (stock, unrooted). I can't remember if I had this problem in my GNex before I rooted/flashed AOKP.

I've never had this issue on any build. Stock sms app I assume?

I'm not using go launcher anymore. on my home screen I have one touch to dial my wife. It'd be nifty to have more but hidden.

Edit: that widget looks like it'd pull up the contact card, not direct dial.

Now another thought. Can you fit four 1x1 widgets on one side in the navbar?

I don't know if flashing a new ROM did this, but my google voice voice mail wasn't connected. People would get a call could not be completed or something after I didn't answer.

Another thing, google earth isn't working as a system app. It was pre installed with build 38. Worked in build 37. I uninstalled, reinstalled from the market, it works, set as system app, doesn't work.

I get this, too. Also happened sometimes on my rooted tbolt.

I had those issues using Swype on an older build. You could actually just go back to the messages with one back and once you were back in your thread it would pick up again.

The stock android keyboard doesn't seem to exhibit this behavior on the 6/3 AOKP build.
 
I have been having the messaging glitch for the last few AOKP builds...not sure what it is, kinda annoying but at least I am aware of it, and a quick back button click does the trick usually. I don't see a pattern as to why...but still does it.

When the phone starts from scratch and activates it says activation completed yet I have roaming above my signal. These akop Roms all have that problem. When I try to use *228 to activate the dialer is missing.

I really want to experience the good happy times you all are having with this Rom. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Had it in B3x all the way through M5. Do not have it on B36, so I am staying for a while. Trooper had it too.

Found it!

So open up all tabs and then bring up overflow options (settings) and you will see "close other tabs."

I did read up on linaro and watched the video demonstration. It looks like a lovely performance boost I look forward.

Saw Roman said a test build38 with linaro for maguro and toro would be available soon. Is this official b38 or just something to play with?

I am running it just fine. I am on my phone and in Tapatalk so I am having a problem getting a good link. The link in click on from within Tapatalk on RootzWiki gave me the option to download through goo manager. It is pretty boss jb!
