[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Nova Launcher is supposed to have this feature included in its newest update, although I haven't looked into it or tried because I like stock so much :D

That doesn't change the color of the icons, it changes the color of the lines, boxes, and accents in the launcher. For example where it says Apps and Widgets, the line underneath is whatever color you choose

The dream theme is the theme Chooser theme. I use Nova Launcher, in which you can apply Go Launcher or ADW themes. The MIUI V4 theme is a go launcher theme, so I use the icons from that theme but the UI is of the dream theme. Make sense?

OK. I think I get it. So is there a specific way to install a launcher theme? Or do I use the theme choose for that as well?

With any launcher that supports Go Launcher themes (that'd be Go Launcher, Nova Launcher, or Apex Launcher (I prefer Nova)) you have to apply the MIUI V4 Theme. The Dream theme you apply in your settings with the Theme Chooser. In Nova Launcher, go to Nova Settings-->Look and Feel-->Icon Theme and select the New MIUI V4 Theme, you will see it there. I haven't used either of the other two launchers in a long time, but if you need help with either I'm sure I could.

Has anyone figured out a way to back up custom brightness settings? Since I have TiBu and AOKP backup, I'm much more inclined to wipe each build. But custom brightness takes the most time to set up, and AOKP backup doesn't back it up. Anyone?
Yup. Take a screenshot saved on my phone so I can use it to refer to....also use less "custom levels" :p (I actually find less levels much better anyways aka I use 9)

But seriously, I've always wanted this ability, but have yet to find it, so NO, I don't know of any way to back it up unfortunately.

Hey JB this seems like a question for you, but anyone else who might know, please chime in. Is there an easy way to change the colors of stock icons to a specific color? For example every so often you see ICS blue styled icons...is there an app or utility that will take images and color them toward a specific color?
You can color images with the built in gallery app (gallery> image> edit> color palette icon> tint...can also use saturation), but it's nothing like doing it on the PC in GIMP which is what I use

Anyway to put it to a hex code on GIMP? As for the auto brightness, I already have a screenshot of your settings that I refer to when I do wipe :P

Is that speculated via Rootz talk or your own personal thoughts? (Neither is more decesive, was just wondering :D )

Well, I checked the github and saw a some stuff was merged into B39, and now it is on goo.im and in goomanager!

Enjoy!

P.S. Changelog not up yet so it is technically not official, yet...

So I am still on linaro b38 -02 and I think I noticed something I don't like. When in chrome, when I tap on a link that is super close to another, in no longer get a pop up to chose the intended link. Can anyone reproduce this? I am sure b39, if w/o linaro, will remedy this. Just wanted to ask.

Is chrome the only browser that does this? I'm using ICS+, and tried. No pop up, but then again, I never saw a pop up before flashing b38-O2

I flashed build 39, I guess the unofficial one. I flashed leankernel 3.9.0 right after because I like how it worked with build 38.
Maybe I did something wrong, but I was experiencing hella lag. So much so I flashed my nandroid. I don't know, maybe I didn't give it enough time to settle in. I usually reboot after TiBu is done restoring everything, but the lag was upsetting me and its late anyway. I'd never restored a nandroid on this device, so I figured it was a good time to try.

Color multiplier, gamma tuning presets are included. That was neat to play with. I'll give it another go over the weekend.

Flashed 39 this morning...much happier and snappier and will let it sit. Flashed lean 3.9exp3 immediately....
I was getting some major battery drain on 38 and linaro 38..like less than 12 hrs instead of 18+...only thing I could find is the phone idle was draining battery....will wait to see how 39 does and see if I have to go back to 37 or not tomorrow...

I've noticed a much snappier performance on 39 than on non-Linaro 38. I flashed faux's 18m right after. Love the gamma and multiplier presets! Much easier
