[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

FWIW, I haven't have any bugs since clean wiping to B39 from 37. Running B39's stock kernel so far.

Not trying to rub it in, just making sure people who haven't flashed B39 yet know that the bugs aren't universal.
 
Just an update... The 4g issue has resolved itself, and I have personally had no other issues with build 39. Don't fear..flash that bad boy!
 
i had 3 random reboots yesterday while at the gym listening to google play music, so i was a little peeved. the music is my motivation... so to speak.
 
I have stuck with B37, which isn't like me, I'm usually tearing into new stuff as soon as it's out. But, 37 is fast and rock solid.

Same here. Although for last few days my phone just stops responding and I have to battery pull so I may have to try a new build. Like yesterday I went to play a video through MX Player, selected the video, and when the screen went black like it always does before it plays, it just got stuck and I had to pull the battery. Weird...

Nope. I was very anxious for a ghost release but maybe not so much anymore...found this in the Play Store. No ratings or reviews and 1 download, so I took a chance and figured if it sucked I'd refund. Well, it does not suck! This is one of the most thoroughly themed themes I've seen, meaning there are no missing aspects, and there's nothing that is unreadable or hard to read or out of place. Not to mention, it's good looking! Very good, highly recommend if you want something brighter.

Has anyone else had an issue with PowerAMP? All my playlists clear out after a reboot, or whenever the mediascanner runs. I have updated to B39 with a full wipe.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing it.

This may not be the cause, but given the accidental kernel change, this is a good culprit. The voltages may be wrong for your phone. These kernels are undervolted a bit by default, and your phone may not lie the way that works (processor tolerance levels and all that). Up them all by 25 or 50 mV. Test stability there, then bring them down one at a time and in smaller increments.

I went to B38 after having been on Liquid for a while. The bugs being reported for 39 scared me a bit - haven't had any on 38 so far. :D
 
flashed B39 last night with the SGS3 theme, im wondering in that theme can you make folders on your home screen? it doesnt seen like you can by dragging and dropping, also in the app drawer is there anyway to make the apps appear in alphabetical order?

You can put apps in the app drawer in alphabetical order...I have to go off memory I haven't run that mod in a month (but it is a super duper cool mod btw) Okay,....everything is in the launcher settings. But to get there you have to have a menu soft key. Make one in AOKP's navbar settings. (2 updates since I've run it so it might be different now). You can also make folders! I'm pretty sure it is in the launcher settings as well so make that menu navbar button and you should find everything you seek. (hoping for you :))
 
Had an odd problem today. I got a phone call, but didn't notice because the phone was in my pocket. About 5 minutes later I took the phone out of my pocket to check something, and the phone was hard frozen on the incoming call screen. I did a battery pull but it wouldn't load past the AOKP screen. Tried wiping cache/dalvik, still wouldn't boot. Just tried reflashing B39 now, we'll see if this boots up. Any other ideas? If this doesn't work I'll probably just wipe, but I was hoping to avoid that for now...

Was it hot at all? Hot prior to the lockup or would you have noticed?
So you pulled the batt, put back in, then turned phone on and it wouldn't get past the aokp logo screen? You have any backups of B39? Any backups at all you could try?

It was hot, but I couldn't tell if it was because the CPU was going nuts or if it was just because the screen was on.

I wound up wiping since I needed a working phone (better an unexplained bug than an angry wife...). I saved a backup of the brokeness, but I'm not sure I'll bother doing anything with that since it's...broken. Hooray for being a pro at full wipes now?
