[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Its his GSM build for AOKP B19. Not thrilled with the little house but I do love the fact that everything in the GSM build is playing nice.
And yeah, i do use my phone quite a bit. Between tapatalk and g+ messenger I was thrilled to get the time out of it I did.

I think the lil house is cute :p

He has a new build out, but I'm not sure what he changed....from the later posts over there it looks pretty cool

I am rooted and unlocked, I used WugFresh'es Gnex toolkit. Backed up current rom with RM, downloaded the rom with RM, wiped data/ cache. Don't think I left anything out. Then clicked on zip file and hoped for the best. When it booted back up I was stuck at the startup splash screen. Had to pull the battery out reboot. It booted back up to stock rom.

This is what I would do. Hook your phone up to your PC so you can access the virtual sdcard. Download the ROM via your PC you want to flash and drag and drop it on your sdcard. Or copy and paste either or. Reboot into recovery (CWM) with rom manager. Don't use rom manager to flash only to reboot into cwm. Completely wipe the phone, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, go to mounts and storage and format system, go back, go to advanced, wipe dalvik cache, go back, flash ROM. Let us know

Sweet. Been on MS 2 for a "hwhile". Now that the lockscreen stuff has been fixed up a bit (more than it was in build18), I'll finally be updating

Yep, that was my biggest request after expanding the lockscreen selection to 8 was to have the actual app there. I customized it with some apps but never used them because I forgot where I put them :o

OT - Kinda - What is the usual and customary minimum donation amount without being insulting?

Honestly I think they appreciate everything and anything in a donation, not just the amount, but the fact you did. Even "thank you's" as well!

FYI, After doing all the recommended cache wiping and flashing 20 and GAPPS I did not have to sign in to Google. All my accounts were in tact. I did the recommended immediate reboot. All looks good.

Going in to play around now.

Cannot get any thing else but the unlock button. I choose a custom app but it does not show. ??????

Read the OP

hint: it's in red writing ;)

I did all as written. The 1st anomaly is not having to login to Google. The 2nd was no lock screen changes could be made.

I am repeating the whole process now. Stay tuned.

Thanks

Not having to login to gmail/Google is normal when you didn't perform a complete wipe. You didn't wipe data/factory reset. Instead you wiped cache partition and dalvik cache which is standard and if you experience no hiccups then you're golden.

For the issue you are seeing with just the padlock on the lockscreen: go to settings> rom control> lockscreen options> lockscreen style> stock. Then scroll down and set "custom app2" to your camera or whatever you would like.

AHA! I must have had a bad or weak flash the first time.

It was in the Stock style and only had an option to select 1 custom app. No matter what I did or chose it would show the unlock only.

I just came up from the re-flash and all is good. I now have a list of 2 options.

Heh! Whew! Thanks.

Heh! Where is that boot animation located? I see the setting in ROM control but I wanna know where its at. Please.

How is this ROM running for you guys? Batter life?

Im curious how fast it is. On Redemption, Lou has eliminated the animation of going in and out of the app drawer. Its instant. That is how I like it vs. the lag I've seen on other roms. Also, auto rotate is damn near instant as well.

How does this rom compare?

Thanks.
