[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

The bootanimation.zip file is housed in system/media

Note: i used to switch in bootanimation.zips all the time on my TB, but these seem to need a flashable. Just an FYI.
 
I don't believe that to be correct. The original exists in system/media but if you drop the bootanimation.zip into data/local then it will override the default ani. Flashable is nice but not necessary.

Ok fellow GNexers - my phone did 8 hours on extended battery. 3 hours, 22 minutes screen time then shut down. Fine, I knew I was going to let it run itself out. BUT when I plug in and turn on it says 47% battery.....why?????

Yeah this ^

Plug her up and charge it full then wipe batt stats if you can

Is this the first time in a while you've used the ext battery? If so, maybe the extra mAh's threw it off somehow...

Yup. Put it in last night for the first time in probably 2 weeks. So I'll give it one more full discharge and see.

That is probably what it is then. Freaked your phone out!

Maybe you really did have 47% left and it shutting off was either a miscommunication between the reporting software and actual battery juice left or a random shutdown of some kind....wouldn't that be nice after your 8+ hrs and 3+ hrs screen on! :D

That would be a bonus! Here's hoping it just needed to reacquaint itself with the software
 
Wiping battery stats is pointless - a Google dev just posted an explanation as to why on Google+ recently

(just an fyi...but feel free to do it anyway)
 
Has anyone come across a themed Google search bar? I had one (it had ICS blue letters) when I was on 4.0.2 but its not compatible with 4.0.3
 
v20 is awesome. Love the battery bar mods. I lock my phone so the slider options don't work for me, but i can see how others may enjoy them a lot.

Key updates I think are on target:
1) Long press on toggles (in toggle menu area) to open their settings menu
2) battery center chg mirror and ability to put below nav bar (or above, or no bar, or show battery icon...you get the idea)
3) Horozontal recents menu

From what I understand, several people experienced these pop up errors for no apparent reason. I'm not sure exactly what they are caused by. So the temp fix was for folks to edit a file with root explorer so the errors would stop. He included the option to disable it, I'm guessing, in case one were to start getting the errors again.

I searched the AOKP thread @ rootz with keyword "bugmailer" and there is a good bit of info on it, maybe not concrete, but info none-the-less :)

Im curious how fast it is. On Redemption, Lou has eliminated the animation of going in and out of the app drawer. Its instant. That is how I like it vs. the lag I've seen on other roms. Also, auto rotate is damn near instant as well.

How does this rom compare?

I think it's nice. With franco.kernel battery life is the same as 19 was....superb :)

I haven't tried Lou's 1.0.5 yet, but I know it should be excellent as his work is top notch!
 
Liking this build a lot. Cool stuffs.. I don't like being called a "jerk" if I elect to turn off the pink unicorn, especially if I am donator. Oh well.

Flashed #20 earlier. Like the new features and will never turn off that glorious unicorn boot animation.
