[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Well, I don't want to wake a sleeping giant because I love his ROM. The Pink thing gets lots of looks from those who don't know eh? You got to kind of look around to see who is looking.

I also donate.

I had thought Patriot missed it so I tried to be more concise

gonna dnld theme and pull boot ani out now I want to see it lol

The only thing I'd like more would be if it was in ICS blue. But that kinda defeats the black Exodus theme then. :p

Would be easy to do, a little time consuming. Just use 7zip to open the bootanimation.zip, 'colorify' or 'colorize' each png in GIMP to 33b5e5 hex, re-zip, voila :)

It's actually the 720p version of the Nexus S boot animation, but made in black and white. It is cool!

Hmmm. I may have to try that.

Then take your chances but isn't it easier to do it once the right way rather than the shortcut then find it borked and have to do it again. :p

If. It's booked it gives me more to do and I just unpacked it nd look and there is no firmware changes so a wipe is not required but I am alpha testing stuff on this rim so I don't think I am gonna flash just yet

If you do ever try it and get stuck PM me. I think I just figured it out. The .pngs are indexed and have to be converted to RGB to 'colorify' them in GIMP, then converted back to indexed for maximum smoothness. Roosevelt has some further insight on this I'm sure.

That's some work for some boot animation :D

This ^ gapi :)

No matter what I do, or where or what kind of animation I use, once I kill the Unicorn I get the ANDROID with a scrolling light under it. And where is that coming from?

I have no animation.zip in the Data/Local or System/Media - Nothing.

That might be beyond my knowledge at the moment heh!

Are you renaming the file to bootanimation.zip?

You could just use a flashable boot animation and flash it in cwm just like you would a rom or kernel. No wiping of anything required just flash. Just make sure it is flashable and is for 4.0.3. There are a lot out there!
