[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Having a weird issue. I changed my softkeys so Recents popup when you hold Home. But it's not popping up.

Anyone else have the issue?
 
Something funky all of a sudden today...the last 6 times I have hit the pwr button to turn the phone on, from being in my pocket today...the first screen that pops up is the activation is successful screen. Click next to continue, it may take a few moments to connect to your wireless service provider.....wth????? Really?
On B25, lean 2.2, interactivex and I have not made any other changes since yesterday....
Anyone else seeing anything funky? TIA

Hey, i have been having fun with my Gnex on B25. I noticed some strange shut downs. When I tap the power button to put her to sleep, occasionally i can't wake her up and have to do a battery pull. Its' very annoying. Any ideas?
 
I'm a beginner to rooting and came across this ROM. I have it flashed, but I can't seem to figure out how to get Google Apps going.

The instructions say flash gapps as soon as the ROM is applied but I dont know how to do that :(. Can anyone assist? I dont have a GMail option to sign in with under Accounts and the only way I even have an option for the Market is via Nova Launcher, but that won't open either.

You download the GApps package listed, and flash it the same way you flashed the ROM in recovery. What is it you're unclear on?
 
Okay... I posed this over at RootzWiki, but didn't really get a response. I'm trying to use apps like Screen Filter and Lux to replace auto brightness to really save on battery, but I get some major slow down issues with both. I'm on build 25; has anyone else experienced this?

I didn't know where to find the Google apps file to flash with, guess I could have been clearer.. but I finally found it and it seems to be working.

The 4.0.4 is a stock 4.0.4 ROM, therefore flashing AOKP, a separate ROM, over it will completely revert it. AOKP can't/won't be 4.0.4 till it's opensourced. Simple answer is no, but you don't have to flash 4.0.3 first it will do it by itself. Just flash the ROM

Ahh ok so I can just flash from 4.0.2 then? If I'm understanding this correctly
 
Just got b25 flashed and most of my stuff restored. I went to stop/start droidsshd and when I clicked accept on the super user pop up, it rebooted. I'll try it again and see if it was just a weird fluke. :(
 
So a dirty flash looks like this:

Wipe Cache
Wipe data
Wipe davlik
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Install Kernal
Install theme (if you use one)

???

Odd and random. Is it still happening? Nova could be the culprit have you by chance done a Nova restore? Uninstall and reinstall Nova? Try those first. If still borked, you could always do the "pita" thing and start fresh :rolleyes:

Roman said if coming from 23 or 24, a dirty wipe should be just fine when upgrading to 25. Go for it!
