[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

+ over 9000.

Doesn't change too much, just makes lots of stuff ICS blue...very slick.

That's why I love it. All I want from a theme is more blue. :D AOKP for the Transformer Prime comes with the boot animation I've been requesting for months which is the stock GNex boot with all ICS blue colorings instead. Gotta find some way to port it and HD for the GNex!...except I have no clue how to do that :-P

Yeah let me know when you track someone down to port it, I'm interested :)

Isn't there a tutorial somewhere? Or see if someone in the boot animation thread will take it on (although that thread might be in a not-so-friendly place now that I think about it)

I was thinking of asking the guy who did the LightFlow HD animations...I've seen him around this thread a bit ..Roosevelt I believe his name is?

You guys may recall I was complaining about M4 battery life and was going to test the ROM kernel.
I wanted to report B28 nixed that.

I ran the B28 on the stock kernel and things were back to the norm with 1% or below drop per hr while sleeping. I went to the 2.7.0 kernel and its up but I don't think its had time to settle.

Normal usage on B28 is back to the norm also. Every time I get close to a good point to grab a screen shot I get into a situation where I need to plug it in.

So in closing I am just sayin M4 was a red headed stepchild on my particular device.

Awesome ROM thanks, any chance of seeing 4.0.4 AOKP M4 for GSM users anytime soon?

Doubtful. Roman won't build off the leak, so until Google releases the source for 4.0.4 (if they do, at this point it wouldn't surprise me if it went straight to 4.0.5 or 4.1) then you won't see a 4.0.4 AOKP. Unless you go with Crossbreed. But no Team Kang 4.0.4 AOKP until then

Thanks for the report Gapi. I too have been suffering poor battery life with M4 and also Crossbreed so your post prompted me to try B28 with LK.

My battery seems to be performing much better. I'm currently almost at 20 hours with 40% remaining. Wifi only, but still that's a big improvement of what I was getting with M4. I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works with 3G/4G when I get back to the US.

I see, thanks for the answer. :)

I also switched to B28 about 4 hours ago, and noticed better battery life with it, there is probably something wrong with the M4 that makes it consumes a lot of battery, especially in Idle status.

Just flashed the new gummy. It was really nice, too. It had added the honeycomb unlock screen. I like that a lot. I am back on 28, with leankernal 2.71. I'm hoping we get that new lockscreen, too. :)

Look out for the 2.7.0 or 2.7.1, some are reporting it makes the media server stay on when sleeping.

There is a 2.7.2 now so...... heh?

I am running the stock kernel while they hash it out. It is doing fine. But the 2.7.2 is calling me.

In any event, I am glad to be rid of M4. Loved M3.

Here are some threads about the so-called media server thing.

Are you referring to the ripple?

Indeed I am.

I'm on build 28 and my Nexus completely freezes up 2 or 3 times a day. It won't turn on unless I pull the battery and reboot. I've tried wiping cache/dalvik but it has not helped. I also did a complete wipe before installing.

Something more sinister is at work here :p

Hopefully it's just a rogue app and nothing hardware related. Have you tried running another ROM recently with the exact same setup/apps you are presently running on B28? That is what I would do.

Did you do a Ti restore and were things hunky dory afterwards? Did this just randomly start happening or did you keep track of events/app installs/something different you've done that could have caused this?
