Trinity ROM? Do you mean kernel? And are you saying the clock settings for the processor don't stick?

oops yeah meant trinity kernel. no, what i mean is when you flash trinity kernel (i've tried 3 different ones) and reboot-you go into settings/about phone and the stock kernel is there. franco kernel works though...

same thing happens on the new condename android 3.6.5, which i assume is based on build 4.

just tried air kernel, caused freeze up and battery pull.

so far, out of trinity, franco, and air kernel, franco is the only one that'll work with this rom besides stock

i'll give that new "tiny kernel" a try too.

do you know if there will be an upate to fix this, or just be fixed in the next build? thanks :)

I don't know what is going on with kernels not working on your device. Also not calling/singling you out when I say that some kernels don't work with certain devices. It is just the way things go sometimes. Kernels tend to be touch and go. Not every ROM loves every kernel. I tested out a fresh, no apps downloaded flash of B4 last night and flashed several kernels without any troubles.

Forgive me for asking but, did you wipe data, cache, dalvik, and clear system, data and cache under mounts/storage?

That is what I wipe when I start fresh...

TIA

jmar

P.S. Anyone else having kernel issues?

i always clean wipe. and these kernels have worked on every other rom i've tried, which is pretty much all of them, including the previous build 3 aokp.

there's people reporting the same thing on the new CNA rom on xda developers.

it's not my phone :)

Has it been confirmed for AOKP? If so, I may wait till the next build or go back to cm10.

Won't run a rom without Trinity kernel. :)

Flashed Build 4/gapps after factory reset. Stalls at Google unlock screen, battery pull, goes into boot animation then reboots back to Google unlock screen and stalls. I've gotten it to boot completely once or twice, but most of the time it does this.

Coming from ICS Build 40 AOKP and I can't even restore any of my nandriods now, ClockworkMod Recovery keeps throwing "Error while restoring /data" for all my backups. On latest version of app too.

Any ideas guys?
