[Verizon] [ROM] AOKP JB-MR1 Milestone 2 [4.2.2] (07.21.13) TORO

Things have definitely quieted. AOKP is somewhat without Roman and I think that direction is slightly lacking. And I really want Google Movies to work (meaning purchased movies play on our rooted devices, not a malicious hack BTW, but simply a code update to reflect Google's support for rooted devices).

I will continue to follow AOKP on Twitter and all threads on Rootz and XDA to keep this thread relevant and up to date. However, I am now running Jelly Belly, again.

Love you AOKP. Please outROM Jelly Belly so I can come back:rolleyes::D

Yours,

jmar

What happened with Roman?

I tried Cyanogen 10 for a couple weeks and wrked pretty damn good. Lots of exrta that AOKP is offerring just yet... wtf

I noticed that a while ago and the answer was that picasa support is not in Google+ to eliminate the need for two apps. So now if you open Google+ all of your pics from Picasa will be there.

Thanks. I was thinking it had to do with the Gapps package but I see it all there in Google+ now. Had the same thing happen with JBSourcery and the inverted Gapps I installed. This was the main thing keeping me with Bugless so I'm off to flash. :-)

I am running build 4. Sometimes when I reboot my phone it takes a long time. It spends minutes on the Google logo before displaying the AOKP graphic. Then, when I reboot again, it's quick. Is there anyway to reduce the boot time? Thanks.

Reinstall maybe?
I reboot frequently as I switch between batteries. I usually wait for it to boot to use it tight away. I have not had this problem on build 4. Mine takes about 1 minute total and I'm using it again.

An AOKP user I'm torn between AOKP & Baked Black Bean and enjoy the competition so-to-speak.

One thing BBB has over AOKP is the MMS apk. It has some nice customizations. I managed to extract it and install it in AOKP successfully.

Now I am really on the Rack.

The ONLY bug in either ROM on my device is Directions & Navigation lock screen circle shortcuts do not open properly.

I am currently running Lean Kernels latest on both.

Lovin this stuff

Slightly buggy where it wasn't before. Bluetooth pairing kept crashing. WiFi doesn't hold as well. Choppy at times. Can't say much about battery life yet.

I did a full wipe BTW.

Baked ROM is good too, but I don't think they've up graded to 4.1.2 yet.

Never tried Nav bar shortcuts before on the lock screen.

Not Nav bar shortcuts, Directions & Navigation shortcuts.

BBB is comparable and an update is due to drop soon.

Running this with Lean Kernel's latest JB 4.4.0 exp4-230 interactive.
It has been since ICS B38 that I got less than 1% loss per hour during sleep. Battery life in general usage is looking pretty good. I keep WiFi/LTE on all the time. I have my LED blinking for 1 sec @ 4.5 sec. Last night it went from 90% to 85% on the standard battery in 7 hours. And they say Kernels need a few days to settle? Good.

Don't remember seeing this on b4. But on b5, when my phone's screen is off for a while and wifi goes to sleep, I often wake my phone up only to see gray bars (no 3G or 4G) and it takes a REALLY long time to come back to 3g/4g and then even longer for the bars to turn blue.

I'm going to restore to b4 and see if this still happens. BEYOND annoying.

Oh sweet, remove navbar mod is implemented. I've been using a gesture with nova launcher to remove it or put it back. I've always restored nova settings since milestone 6, and this is the first time the gesture hasn't said "app not installed"

Completely lost Wi-Fi. I could still get to the toggle and could still turn it off and or but it wouldn't actually come on - no Wi-Fi icon anywhere on screen. It had been working great, then it just went away - and didn't comeback with a battery pull.

Granted I did install GMail 4.2 (which made my battery scorching hot) and uninstalled about the time I lost Wi-Fi so maybe that had something to do with it.

Either way, I had to wipe to get it back.

It doesn't look like anyone else had this issue so maybe Gmail 4.2 had something to do with it.
