[Verizon] [ROM] Codename Android for JB (updated 10/2)

Hasn't 3.5.0 been out for a couple months already? :D

BTW, no nightly tonight. A maintenance release is coming.
 
I haven't even read any of the issues. I did notice some quirkiness with the status bar with date/battery, but I think that was fixed in 3.5.0.

He's strangely quiet as well. :D
 
I have been meaning to use this, but I don't know if the 2 Gapps have to be downloaded and installed, or do I have to choose one? if that is the case, then which one??

Can't find information about this anywhere.....

You have to choose; one comes with Picasa but no potential camera mods, and the other comes with potential camera mods (framework for HDR, amongst other things) but not Picasa.

Completely agree on the quiet thing - I thought someone mentioned that he was on here, but I haven't seen him post.

I'm tempted to flash the 9/12 nightly as a clean flash; sometimes, you just have to quit being dirty (flasher)... :D

Cool. I'll play around with it. This screen seem Super Bright compared with Xenon HD that I was running a little while ago, so I was trying to figure out how to get it to adjust. Like in the middle of the night last night I got up and turned on my phone and my wife woke up because of the light it put out! Wow! The Xenon HD was much darker at night, but I did seem to have some problems seeing it in the bright day.

So now that my camera is working, I am noticing that my gmail never fetches mail. I always have to press the refresh to get new mail.

1) Is there a way that I can look on the device and make sure that I put on the correct version for my GSN phone?

2) Is this a bug/setting that I need to change to allow gmail to fetch mail without me refreshing?

Settings... about phone.

OW, what's the name of the file you flashed? If data works, you should have the correct version.

Go to Settings -> Accounts -> Gmail

Make sure Gmail is checked for sync

Thanks SO much for the help. That was the problem. I think I have the correct ROM and gapps now.

hummm... My pic isn't up loading. Will try later, but I think my rom is correct.
 
The one advantage of the iPad is the acceptance level from the industry, especially for getting a digital copy of movies onto the device, which isn't possible with Android. :(

And, the babies love it!
 
Well, took me forever, but found my first bug. The 091212 nightly is where I tried the Navy bar ring targets, so not sure if this is in others as well.

If I set any of the targets to be the Camera, it will work only if the camera app has not been previously opened/ isn't still open. For example, if I restart and slide from the Home button to the Camera, it will open. However, if I back out of the app and attempt to use the Camera shortcut on the Nav bar ring again, I get nothing. As long as I use the Regents and kill all function, I can use the shortcut again. Location (top, left, right) does not matter.
 
Are forced closed bugs? When I enable quiet hours, I get the clock forced closed. Kind of sucks as this is when I want the clock...during quiet hours. If it is how do I help the author of the ROM, is there a place to post stuff? Logs?

Looks like only a clean flash will work with this nightly as per the developer. I did and everything is looking good so far.
