[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

I know Titanium can be an issue that's why I only restore 4 games that don't have an internal backup and restore option.

Is it Titanium that's the problem or is it the fact of restoring an apps data? If it's Titanium could I use root explorer to backup the data? Let Google restore the app the use root explorer to restore the data.

Sorry for so many questions, I just don't spend enough time on the forums working 2 jobs and all. :)

I just happen to know about the alarm stuff as i had to track that down before and it was due to restoring alarm clock from titanium. problem is apparently there is some how tht it gets in data. so when even restore data only it corrupts the alarm clock.

I dont know if the data of even data apps is different for different roms or what.

if you restore any system apps there will defiantly be problems.

i never restore apps with titanium and i can not reproduce reported problems 90% of the time all the way back to 2010.

We aren't perfect and miss stuff. but overall restoring apps from titanium causes problems.
almost every time we cant reproduce something on our end the person reporting used titanium.

Wish this wasn't the case as i see its handy and quicker.

i did send a message to the developer a long time back to try to work with them on this issue and never received a return message.

It got so bad on the droid that i stopped all support if that app was used.
and im getting close to that point again.

but some use it and have no problems so i do have 1 person that uses it regularly making me a instruction log ill put up in info center and see if that helps the situation.

Yes it was removed because of apple. i have the old one. but not sure if you lose other stuff they may have added after. watch your phone close though as i am sure the power button will disapear in next source update as i know the ishit had a power button too so apple probably invented that too.

Lol I love team Sourcery!

News flash.... Apple has patented the use of illumination... seems putting a light source behind anything under a glass-like surface is now owned by apple... please turn off your phones... walk/run to your nearest dealer and trade them in for the new iphone5...

The screen is smaller.. the functionality is already behind android phones... but hey, who can argue with the owners of light :)

Muahhahhahhhahhhahhha!!!!!!!

I restore apps and data using titanium all the time with no issues, but I never restored system apps.
On some ICS ROMs I played around with what I can and can't restore with system apps. (if you're freshly swapping ROMs, if you mess it up, just wipe it and try again. Gotta love that.) It can get really finicky and end up causing problems. I try never to do so now. I've managed to restore the browser and a few other system apps with no ill effect on ICS, but didn't really gain much from that.

I haven't had any problem with restoring non-system apps though.

I feel like i should share this awesomeness...this Rom is finally setting in. I am on 2.2.4, Franco milestone 5 kernel. Interactive gov, 1228, 240 cpu...stock battery. About 50 percent WiFi, 25 of each 3 and 4g with about an hour of phone calls....love me some sorcery

Oh man. Just installed blur animations...cool as all get up!!!!!!:D

Interesting, I just tried to duplicate the problem and couldn't. I set flash to AUTO in a dark room and focused /took several shots.

Did you dirty flash the ROM? A clean flash may be in order here to isolate/eliminate the issue. If this was a clean install, then I'm at a bit of a loss.

clean install, its one of those once in a blue moon type things cus its not something that i can just replicate myself, it will just happen

dont worry we put tht in intentionally it happens at random times. we find if we dont throw a bug in the rom the forums are silent. so we have to put a few in occasionally to keep the forums going.

ok now i know at least one person thought this was true.
it isnt but we have considered it :)

I need some help please!

I was on 2.2 and having alarm issues. It didn't matter if I used Alarm Clock Extreme or the built in one. If the phone was charging A/C or USB and the alarm went off the phone would reboot or crash. It goes directly to the boot animation then when it boots up there is a green flashing LED that I can

Has anyone getting random reboots on 2.2.4? I was stable on 2.2, but since flashing to 2.2.4, my phone has been rebooting at random regardless of what kernel I use (used the latest stable and nightly/exp. build of Franco and Leankernel). There doesn't seem to be any specific trigger for it. It has done it while browsing the web, playing a podcast (with Pocketcasts), when I plugged it in to charge and even while it's just sitting idle with the screen off. It seems to be doing it arounf 1-3 times a day.

Haven't tried wiping and reflashing yet. Is there a zip for 2.2.4 so I don't have to flash 2.2, then 2.2.4?

Thanks in advance for any help :).

I've been on 2.2.4 since the day it came out, I haven't had a single random reboot.

I tried 2.2.4 but I like the full screen mod and on the 2.2 4 version when I pulled down my notifications it didn't go the full length of the screen. I lobe this ROM though. Best one out there.

So let's get a bump for what kernel everyone is living with this beast. Im living Franco, great battery with performance, all others seen to heat up my phone. Tried glados for A day...that one seemed legit too,i didn't let it settle..but it seemed nice. I just have a hard time leaving what works..oh so well
There are several Franco Kernels listed and two different ones for each Kernel build number. How do I choose among them?
