[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

cant remember who/where it was asked.. but now in the status bar icons, added the white icons from stock beanpicker theme.

OMG, thank you soooooooooooooooooo much for the black backgrounds throughout...!!!!!!

oh and more new kernels, damn im never gonna find a good one now lol

Should I be concerned about the S.E. because I can't reset GW in app at the moment? I haven't side loaded the latest .apk from xda or done the build.prop work around yet. I'm still scared to wipe without resetting Google wallet.

yes sir, i used jbsourcery gapps on this one and loaded perfectly

I loaded that one and voice dialer failed. I had to reflash and install the gapps from 7/26.

Thanks for adding the landscape lock screen, but it's too far to the right, you can't enter the PIN.

I sideloaded the apk and it merely updated the app. I haven't bought anything yet but everything seems to work :-)

Full screen seems to be working fine on 2.3. The notification panel goes all the way to the bottom if I reboot my phone in full screen. Thanks for a great ROM. I did notice the menu button on the zenith nav keys reverted back to the 3 white dots. Not a big issue since I use full screen though.

oh i only thought about the slide unlock devortex had mentioned something too and i had testers try it and they didnt have problems so i thought it was just from dirty wipe. so ill have to get the secure lock screens sory just didnt think about that. at least it rotaes back to portrait so you can unlock until its fixed :)
sorry about that.

Just wiped/flashed to 2.3, reinstalling my stuffs now :) Can't wait to see how it goes!

Oh, and...side note kinda..What does everyone use these days for things such as app placement, etc, on new ROMS? I typically just back everything up for safety sake, and do what I can, but every time I flash, I have to go through and re-setup all my home screens, accounts, settings, etc. Anything out there that will save things like that and restore them on new loads? Just curious. :)

Loving the work, Devs!

APEX has a back up feature that should do that for you

I'm in love with 2.3, i can see a noticeable improvement in performance...not saying other versions weren't good...but i can just notice a little something extra with this release. Great work!

No problem, I know stuff happens. No one can catch every little thing.

Digging the aokp style toggles with brightness slider. Thanks for getting that in there. I had to choose to run the slider below the toggles in order to move away from the old slider that was built into the drop down. Then I could select above toggles and it worked.

Another semi-related issue...once I opened the cm style toggles, it auto applied them because the power widget was checked by default. So it and the aokp toggles ran together one atop the other. Had to disable the cm ones and all was well. Small stuff, not a big deal. Love it!

just about every app has changed in 2.3 not wiping keeps data from older versions and can and will cause problems. so if you have problems please wipe and reinstall.
before posting or reporting bugs, as i have had 3 bug reports already that are caused by a dirty flash and or using titanium backup to restore they all 3 did both so not sure which one probably titanium but dirty installs can cause problems also when there are the amount of changes that are in 2.3 over 2.2.
thanks

did you do a clean install?
the power widgets (cm) and aokp can both be run at same time they should not overlap each other. they should have cm on top and aokp below those. putting the brightness slider on top of aokp puts a nice seperation between them. you can even just use cm and the brightness slider from the aokp toggles.

to turn off aokp toggles you just have to deselect the toggles.
we will put in a 1 button for all off on aokp in the future. but we only have so much time to get things in and insure its stable so we dont have another 2.1 fiasco.

I won't post a bug without a clean install. But sounds like it may not exactly be a bug by your account. I wanted aokp only. The brightness slider didn't show up on top until I first chose bottom placement, then went back and chose the top location. That gave me aokp toggles only with a top slider for brightness.

Also, this is just my preference but I'd rather have to choose both sets of toggles rather than having them both enabled by default. I think most people will probably end up picking one style or the other but maybe not. The weirdest thing is that the cm toggles didn't show up until I opened the settings screen for them. Then they did, though I made no selections while in that screen.

Like I said, real small stuff. May be more related to my tastes rather than bugs of any kind. The rom is running great. Best yet imo.

Yeah cm toggles dont show up until you enter its arena :)

once you enter cm toggles the on tab is on. so it than registers. take check out of box and they are gone.

We just cant customize each rom individually thats why we try to make it so people can customize it anyway they want.

If we changed it so everything was off by default than wed get hey i want aokp toggles on by default i don't want to go in and have to turn them on.

We launched version 1.0 of ICSourcery with cm toggles and had so many complaints wanting aokp style we switched.

We worked hard to offer both and have them work interactively with each other. and went through many different layouts till we got to what we offered as we believed it was the best ability to do whatever anyone wanted with them. If you cant set it up the way you want send us a bug report with your preferred setup and well see if we can make that available.

Hope this makes sense

Totally understand, thanks for the explanation.

Made back-up of Apex Launcher settings and Data. Wiped Cache, wiped data, wiped Dalvik. Wiped 2.2.4 rom. Flashed 2.3 and rebooted. Apps came back ok (did not reflash gapps). Amazing!----> When system rebooted all my homescreens were apparently restored automatically complete with wallpapers. I did not have to do an APex restore. The only thing I noticed different was that now I have a lava lamp boot animation and the Steamworks Clock is replaced by a generic analog. Can't wait to change it back to Steamworks. Also my Franco Kernal was replaced by the original Kernal that was in 2.2. So I am reflashing my Franco.
I went to the changelog page on JBSourcery but could not tell what was different from 2.2.4 to 2.3. Devs--how about a quick synopsis of the differences?? NVM I guess changes since 2.2 covers it.
Hmm. Could not find the original Steamworks boot animation. Only an alternate that I do not like as well. Also, where can I find the Steamworks clock? It isn't in the widgets anymore.

hmm. Apps work but playstore is broken. Maybe I do have to re-flash gapps after all. I give that a try and get back.
Edit: Yep, that was it.

sounding like you dirty flashed, and you didnt install gapps after the rom flash.
wipe and install both rom and gapps...
most of your problems will go away.

The steamworks stuff will not be ready until the themer updates for 2.3.

Thx
