[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Don't know where else to post this. I have done exhaustive search on the forums to see if anyone else has this problem but could not find anything. Can't connect phone to bluetooth in car after latest flash. Car sees phone name and device ID but connection always :confused:fails and car gives message. "Bluetooth connection failed. Check bluetooth settings on device." Oddly enough Media Player seems to connect via bluetooth, just not the phone. Can't find much in bluetooth settings on the phone other than change name of phone, view received files, etc. I have deleted everything, re-paired (registered, I think the car system calls it.) Still won't connect. Toro, JBSourcery 2.3. Franco Kernel 249, 4.1.1 Radios. Should I go back to 4.04 Radios? Don't know where to find any detailed Bluetooth settings on the phone in order to tweak them. Any help appreciated.

dont change radios that wont do anything.

the solution suggestion would be repair connection after wiping out old connection. but you did that.
there were no blue tooth changes from 2.2 to 2.3.
so if it worked before thats just strange.
unfortunatley not something i can try here.

please post car and year and any info you have on the dvice n the car and we will post it up in rom to see if anyone is using same and either working or having problems.

Could be a fluke, but just had a random reboot while re-downloading all my apps. Or perhaps I was on acid....

havent seen any reboots here. i take it you just installed and hadnt changed kernels or anything yet.

let us know if you have anymore and give us any info you can.

Thanks for the radio info . 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid with Factory Premium Nav. and Entune.
Had a little trouble with 2.2 but deleting old connection and re-pairing worked on that one.

Rebooted phone
turned on bluetooth
phone would not connect
Multimedia player did connect
Deleted multimedia player from car menu
reset the car menu to add a device
again it discovered only the multimedia player
I went ahead and repaired the multimedia player
It connected
Went in profiles on multmedia player and selected Phone audio: Use for phone audio
Went back to phone setting on car and the phone was there. Transferred contacts and was able to make calls.
Entune also works from this setup
We shall see if it will connect automatically the next time I use it. (it always did before)
Is this just a JellyBean thing that is new?
Pretty sure ICS was different. If it continues to work, I will be very happy. :)

You said you clean installed so i take it wiped davlik cache, cache and data.

other than that i just don't know.

are you running any mods that we don't supply.

No, I think I mentioned everything -- other than I'm replacing apps with TiBu (no system, just user + user data), which I think you've mentioned has created some issues. Maybe I'll try again and just let Google restore things.

::shrug:: Probably something on my end, since I haven't seen anyone else mention this, and seems like it's working on your end.

I'll use the bug tracker in the future.

Thanks again for all your work and looking into this in such depth!

Hi guys, sorry if this was already mentioned.
Yesterday I didn't notice this, but today I am... My personalized message at the bottom of the lock screen is being cut off. It is only half showing. Yesterday it was all there, but I'm not sure if yesterday I had anything in my calendar appearing on my lockscreen, so maybe that's doing it? Thought it was worth mentioning. Thanks.

Interesting...
you have the layout set to "high Lock Ring"

Mine actually disappears on that option, but looks correct on low lock ring..
will have to look at that. have created a bug tracker entry for this one. thx!

Anyone have a wallet apk they wanna share? The most recent updated version..

(the download from sourcery tools is not working for me. As soon it launches i get prompted for an uodate but playstore doesnt update for my "unsupported" device)

Thank you for the great desciption of what you are seeing.

Just to follow up, as I tried again this evening.

This time I stopped screwing around with inverted apps and just used stock. Seems to be the difference -- the lockscreen is working like it should, and it's not resetting (and my custom carrier label is fine with the high center layout -- I'm also at 242 dpi if that makes a difference). I can actually use the phone as a phone easily ;)

Apologies if I sent you on a wild goose chase.

However, this one I think is still legit... I've got my back button on the far left nav bar slot and the home button next to it. The back button seems to pick up the functioning of whatever is in the left-most slot of the home screen target. I've left it empty, and the back button works fine, but if I put something in there (before it was the camera, this time the calendar) the back button opens that app.

I'll submit a bug report too.

Sad to report that I had a major snafu today. I lost my LTE connection while at work. Figured mabye a local outage but it was no different at home. I then noticed I couldn't dial out, as soon as I entered the number and pressed send, the dialer FC'd back to the homescreen. Toggling 4G shut down sourcery tools every time without exception with with the AOKP and CM toggle. And even going to general phone settings > Wireless & Networks > More didn't bring up anything. Froze the phone, had to wait until homescreen came back which it would always do after about 5-10 seconds.

Not sure what happened here. Not blaming it on the rom, may have just been a fluke. To make sure it wasn't a true network issue, I nandroided back to 2.2 and it's working like a champ still.

Mods I was running:
-soft keys = blue reflective stock
-status bar = cobalt
-misc > cobalt framework pngs
-font = ubuntu
-boot ani = linux screen spin
-kernel = lean

Wipe was full (data/cache/dalvik). Should have run a logcat but I was in a hurry and needed a working phone. It's all good tho, I'll try 2.3 again when I have time to go back through setup.

again thanks fo the great details well except on the carrier label not mentioning you used some one else transparent apps pack :) again you are the example of the information we need most of the time and it was greatly appreciated. we have so much in nav keys that i would actually expect problems but i just cant reproduce that.

That google wallet is in our extra apps section ion our tools and installs from there and works. i jsut tested it.
dont know about buying things but i went through it a bit and it was working and sent me an eamail when i signed in.

How do you get past the "adding your account" screen?

No more reboots yet. Thanks! Side note: Anyway to prevent Google from downloading apps? I prefer to restore via TiBu.

Maybe just don't flash gapps when you install Roms? Kinda, sorta worked for me when I installed 2.3. Restored my apps with My Backup Pro. After that, in order to get google playstore back I had to go back and reflash gapps.

I think it depends on which gapps are flashed. When I flashed the most recent ones the apps started installing on their own, when I flashed the ones from 7/26 they did not.

I supposed you could also not sign in during setup.

that is funny :)

ask many this rom wont auto download apps from market :)

thanks for the confirmation it does..

during the discussins of people saying it wont. i saw some people saying make sure to put check marks in the stuff that comes up when you first install it. so maybe taking a check mark out of the part that mentions backup/restore will stop it???

dont know.
