I sideloaded the apk and it merely updated the app. I haven't bought anything yet but everything seems to work
OK, first time thru I wiped Cache, data, dalvik and Rom 2.2.4. Is that a dirty flash? I thought that was a clean install. If not, what else should I have done? No problem, everything ok after reinstalling gappssounding like you dirty flashed, and you didnt install gapps after the rom flash.
wipe and install both rom and gapps...
most of your problems will go away.
The steamworks stuff will not be ready until the themer updates for 2.3.
Thx
the stock kernel doesnt get hot.
We will look into it and see if the kernel developer sneed us to cahnge anything in the rom but that hasnt been the histroy but who knows.
thanks.
i am not seeing heat issues on clean install with built in stock kernel.

torch is/has/was/will be a pita...
keep toggling and it will work. it is very hit and miss on all roms I have seen so far
really you would be on an older version cause you an see 2-3ml of the screen on the occasion you use the pull down.?
serious question..
I need more people to speak on this. we can hold release until we fix this if its really that big of a deal.
thansk for the input.
i think 99.999% of people couldn't care less about how much of the screen shows with the pulldown, including me. plz don't waste precious development time on it. that's just my opinion.
Nice, looks like some of the features I want are now being implemented into this rom now. I prefer the 'text' for both WiFi and signal strength like I have now on AOKP Milestone 5 as well as the custom colors for most everything in the notification bar. Yeah, I'm rolled back to ICS for now. But this looks like this is getting there.
Speaking of 'getting there' I know that Google and Facebook hate each other now, but is there any chance of getting the FB contacts sync going on again on any (or better this) JB rom? That is one of the main reasons I am on AOKP M5 instead of AOKP M6; the feature was removed for the reason (from the reply I got over at rootzwiki) I mentioned above, the hating thing.
Here's some help for you with temp and torch problems. As a previous poster mentioned, use a Trinity [DER KERNEL]. I even think that tdvaughn mentioned in this thread earlier that torch works just fine for those using the aforementioned kernel. You might say, I don't want to pay for the accompanying app. No need to, there a free one over at xda and it might be found elsewhere, cough, cough. TricksterMod.
TIA and good luck
Full screen is working perfectly now. Thanks for all your efforts guys. Honestly I am not for sure what else you could do to make this ROM better.
2.3 running smooth for me. Imo, this is the snappiest rom release from sourcery since on jb. And i actually like the zenyth keys with the 3-dot menu button. Not sure how I got it but I'm keeping it this way.
Running lean kernel 4.3.0 also works great. At my usual preferences of oc at 1.3 with interactiveX cpu. Seem to have great battery life so far. Theme engine also working flawlessly and not hijacking other mods from tools.
Please don't be a noob, and clean flash
I flashed over the stock kernel with Trinity. Does anyone have a copy of the stock kernel just in case Trinity starts running too hot?the stock kernel doesnt get hot.

The stock ROM is in sourcery tools - kernels.
I clean installed 2.3 from 2.2. Mods are copper weather icons, kiwi cobalt theme, JustinBean inverted apps, random boot screen script, modified gps settings.
Couple bugs:
1) Lockscreen: Using eight targets, high center. #7 (in the 5 o'clock position) disappears. It's there when I go to the menu, and then not on the lock screen.
I rebooted, tried to reset the menu, and all the lockscreen icons reset back to their stock icons (I was using custom ones off my SD card). It also lost the lockscreen wallpaper. So now I can either have everything there, with only #7 as the custom icon and the remainder stock, or the others custom with #7 stock. Changing the lockscreen wallpaper tends to revert the icons, and changing the icons tends to eliminate the lockscreen wallpaper.
I had the same issues with 2.2, and just lived without #7. (Actually, in 2.2 I also had #5, 6, and 7 start to open the wrong apps after a while -- Not sure of the details, but I think they all advanced one i.e. I had the calendar in #5 and camera in #6, and moving over to the calendar actually opened the camera, the camera opened #7, #7 wasn't there... Something like that anyway...)
2) Navbar: Set up is as follows, written as "short press/long press:" back/navigation, home/empty (long press kept activating and screwing up the navigation ring -- it was camera, which might be important), recents/messaging, chrome/QR droid private, calendar/recents.
Whenever I press back, it doesn't go back and opens the camera. I double checked in the menu, and it's set correctly. I set it to something else, set it back, and it worked twice before going back to opening the camera.
This one is a bit tough to deal with, I'm going to restore back to 2.2. and wait for 2.4 to try again. Or I'll get flash-itchy and try to reinstall again when I'm bored and have more time ;-)

Finally, and this obviously isn't related to Sourcery but rather JustinBean... I'm still having the issue with those gapps where the dialer isn't available. Some many moons ago solved the problem by replacing JustinBean's contacts apk with the stock one. In the new Sourcery gapps pack, it looks like names of things may have changed.
Anyone have any idea what needs to be swapped out now? Or maybe a different set of inverted gapps that work a bit better for when I update again?
