[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Hmmm. I have tried using the included MIUI Explorer plus Astro and can't seem to find the "System Apps" in order to delete these. Ill try loading this other Gapps then thanks a lot!

Ok I tried to flash the other version of Gapps to get rid of all that google bloatware but nothing changed. Is there a specific way I should have done it or just flash over it? Also how do I find the System Apps in a root explorer? I can't find them anywhere on my phone.

Yeah I have explored my phone on both the phone and my computer but I have no /system or /app folders ANYWHERE on my phone  I honestly don't understand what I'm missing here

1 open up file explorer

2 swipe to the left to get a different screen

3 tap arrow on top right 2 times

4 scroll down and tap system

5 tap app

6 find which app you want to delete long press and hit delete

Using File Explorer (Could not get where it needed to be with Astro) 1st comes up in /storage/sdcard0. I touched the up arrow in the bar at the top. Dialogue box says. "Jump To" Choices are Sdcard0 and Internal. Choose Internal. A new list comes up. Scroll down and a folder named "System" is there. Choose it. New folders appear. Top one is named "App". Choose it and a list of the .apk's appears.
As I said, Astro file manager did not seem to be able to get me to this.

Wow... I completely forgot I was searching the SD card and not the root of the phone... Thank you so much for pointing that out haha

You can only see this from your phone. Item root explorer or miui explorer...system is one of the folders, office this folder is another folder named app....inside of this folder are some of the apps. You can set this folder to mount rw and then you can delete apps....make sure to only delete ones you are sure of

Found the S3 app download in the mods section...saw it mentioned an S3 conversion... what would be different should one want that?..and the apps are pretty cool. Walkman came in handy...sync with my walkman was easy enough just not figure out if I need solid explorer over root explorer. Any expert advice is appreciated... Thanks!

Has anyone been able to get the NFC picture sharing to work? My friend has a nexus as well not rooted but he is on jelly bean now. We can share contacts and web pages but when we try to tap and share a photo it starts and then just says beam failed.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure the Nexus NFC won't beam photos. That feature came out with S-beam on the Galaxy S3, but Nexus doing it? Never heard of that one.

I beamed a photo to my wife...it's a jelly bean thing, make sure both phones are on jb

I apologize if this question has been covered already, but i just downloaded the bean picker theme, flashed it in recovery and now im wondering what it did? Is there a ways to choose colors for complete customization or do i gotta download a color pack for it.

Just seems like it turned turned a few of my icons and signals bars white or gray

(wherr do i go to edit colors, cant find it thanks)

Nexus JB devices use Android Beam (bluetooth connection) to share items with other jelly bean devices. The Galaxy S3 uses S-Beam (Wi-Fi Direct connection) which sends items only to other Galaxy S3's. The S3 has Android Beam, but it does not work with Nexus JB Android Beam. Since the stock S3 is still on ICS, it WILL NOT share files with a Nexus JB phone using Android Beam. Wish Samsung would have shared wi-fi direct with the rest of the world (especially with their own devices), but no luck so far.

I've gone around and around trying to share photos with my wife's S3 with S-Beam, Android Beam and several third-party apps with no consistantly positive results. I finally gave up and use a shared folder in Dropbox to send her photos "at the spur of the moment".

I CAN share photos between my JB Nexus and my JB N7 tablet, but find it rather pointless to share photos with myself!

I don't mean to sound pushy, but are there any updates (JRO03R build?) coming down the pike? I'm getting an itchy ROM-flashing trigger finger!

And NO "That's what she said!" responses, please!

If that were the case, Joe, it seems that there could be no NFC communications between a JB Nexus and an S3. There is. My wife has an S3 and I was successful in beaming contacts from her phone to mine. Pictures? No. Contacts? Yes.

I stand corrected - sorry about that. It works with Contacts and web page links only. The bluetooth connection doesn't work with anything big like photos, videos, etc. They make it look real easy on TV between the S3's, but I challenge them to do it with two different phones.

Guess Samsung wants everybody to buy S3's! I am shocked and appaled!

I may be wrong but I "think" S-beam is a "Touch-Wiz" feature so its not included in GN's because they are clean android.

It WOULD be nice if Samsung made a app for GN users :P
