[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

I dirty flashed... Aka, I wiped dalvik and cache then installed rom and gapps, rebooted... Then back to recovery to wipe dalvik, install lean Kernal 5.8exp, wipe dalvik, then fix permissions. I am running perfectly.

I also just tested my mic and it appears to be working fine... Without setting anything up. Are You using a specific app or what are you doing with the text to speech so I can test it for you? Good luck and enjoy!

It must have been how I flashed.. Because since I posted it was workjng fine after I reflashed and wiped dalvik etc.. The ROM is basic. Fully stable, and I've been on it since. Definitely a top two ROM for me. I would only recommend this or sourcerys rom

12.2 (md5: 61aa33c816ac80ecc522ffd3799f1836)
updated SuperSU
added expand desktop feature
added long press back to kill app feature
added pdroid privacy manager
added custom security additions
enhanced performance
improved general stability
fixed a bug with battery life

12.2 is out.

Edit: Camera has significant lag and gallery is broken for me.

Make sure to reboot to recovery, clear dalvik and fix permissions.
I had both of those happening on a dirty flash, but after a fix permissions it's working again.

Edit: other people are reporting the same thing, with lag in the camera. Jake is recommending to make sure that you clear cache both in the app itself as well as in recovery, as well as making sure you updated Super SU from GPlay.

Good luck!

Thanks. I've been following a couple other forums on this too. I tried the above recommendations with no luck. Got to get to work so I'm back on 12.1 until I can try a clean install tonight.

12.3 (md5: ea0d0bda3881788e7ae659dc96b30207)
fixed lag with camera
fixed bug causing Google+ posts not to load
fixed video playback bug
fixed issue with PDroid Manager
other minor performance improvements over 12.2

12.3 is much better. Although does not include the updated GWallet yet, so make sure to update using the link I provided or another.
Otherwise, working flawlessly for me!

12.4 (md5: c922e79149d98137266a51ee29535b4c)
improved performance
fixed bug with sending/receiving mms
fixed bug with multi-user support
fixed F/C with pdroid (may still get one on initial boot/app restore)
added option to keep status bar visible while in expanded desktop
fixed lag on incoming call
fixed issue with screen-on
updated SuperSU

Recommended to at least wipe cache and dalvik, a completely clean install is even better. Good luck!

Also, for those of you using TWRP, an update came out. Go into the goo.im app, 3button menu, update recovery script...

Ryan, are you running this?

What are your thoughts?

I just started running 12.4 today and everything that I have tried seems to be working. I'm using LeanK latest version. I'll give it 24 hours before I decide if battery is okay.
The only problem I have had with 12.3 and 12.4 (and maybe prior versions but I didn't notice until now) is that when I try to upload a picture to FB it craps out and tells me FB has crashed/isn't responding. Don't know if the is a 4.2 thing or a FB thing?

Any preliminary impressions on the battery life using Lean? I'm still on the stock kernel and am considering switching back to Lean 5.8.2.

Morning all...
I am running 12.4 and I am not seeing any issues so far. I also run lean kernel, whenever possible. Although I usually let the stock Kernel run for a day or so to let it settle, past history tells me that lean extends my battery out a good 4-5 hours longer than stock.
Right now I am running 12.4 with lean 5.8exp. Yesterday I had about 16 hours up time, with about 3 of that on wifi... And a little over 2.5hrs screen on time. If I have battery left when I go to bed in the evening, I am a happy guy, and last night I still had 32 percent left. Of course everyone's usage and battery will vary, and I don't like to compare actual stats because it can be misleading. But depending on how good your connection to VZW is... On 3/4g and WiFi... And how many apps sync, you can get great life on this rom.
I live in an area with only 2bars of 3g,so I use a really fast wifi at home... But at work I have a full green, full bar connection to VZW 4g...i have about 8 GMails that constantly sync, and exchange with 2 addresses that push, tapatalk and chrome that run all day... And the occasional game... Like temple run... Lol

(for some reason lean 5.8.1 and 5.8.2 were giving me some lag. But I almost always run the exp-230s from lean, and the only thing that I change, using francos app, is the governor. I use interactivex. )

One other side note... Although I use FB all day long, I found that the actual app uses 3 times as much battery as leaving FB open on a tab in Chrome. So I use the Chrome Beta app from GPlay as my default browser, and leave one tab open with FB... I uninstalled the FB app last year, and don't regret it at all. Just an FYI.

Ryan, thanks for taking time to give us feedback. I am on 12.4 now, clean install, of course, with all user apps+data restored using Titanium Backup. This ROM never ceases to amaze me. I, too, am on Lean Kernel, 5.8.2, but I'm not seeing the lag using exp230? Each device is different I guess.

Jelly Belly for the win!

12.5 is on the way. I am testing AOKP Build 3. Taking me back to the ICS days with all the ROM tweaks. Got my 12.4 nandroid waiting on me if anything goes south.
