Virgin Mobile gets iPhone

That's funny actually. This will just go towards even more diminishing the apple fanbois sense of superiority now that it'll be even more widely available to anyone on just about every network.

It's actually a great move for Sprint/VM and will definitely suck in plenty of ex-post-paid apple customers who are sick of paying hundreds of dollars a month for their contracts but still want their iphone.

Agree. It is a great move for Sprint. I just hope this is not an excuse to raise rates further.

I am not surprised, Cricket is also offering the iPhone now. Plus Virgin Mobile Canada has had the iPhone for some time. My original reasons to move to Virgin Mobile is the fact it's a cheap plan and I figured at some point that Apple would deliver. However after Steve Jobs has past, I have not been the big fan of Apple as I once used to be. In life there is 3 boxes.

Windows - They build the box and let you color it

Unix/Linux - They give you the tools so you can build the box

Apple - They build the box, then put you in the box

After taking over development with Android I can't give enough huggles to the Triumph. It's one thing to have a device that is lacking, it's another to rebuild the platform on that device, and then take that said device to another place. Even if the Triumph isn't the best hardware it's total geek to be able to design for it and make it better and better.

I was learning Objective C coding for Apple and they lock down everything, you can not even change the home button to do anything accept what Apple allows you to do. Also they lock down making calls to the hardware to see all information on your device. Such strict guide lines is what has allowed Google and Android into the market. Not all people want to be told what to do all the time and Open Source gives us the freedom to make our own calls :p

Alright I will stop...I am getting off the soapbox :D Buy the iPhone if you want. Just know if I see you I will give you a dirty glares because I know your just a simple fan boy :D:D:D:D

Same here. I was probably going to wait a bit before buying the Evo becuase it seems like there have been some problems with it. Now I am definitely going to wait to see if there is an official announcement about the Iphone in the next couple of months.
 
It would be great for VM, although of course I expect a $500 price tag for the iPhone 4s or $400 for the iPhone 4. You still get a better deal in the long run compared to a post-paid plan, but it's definitely more of an upfront cost.
 
Bring The Nexus To Vigin Mobile or another one of those top of the line phones (Htc on X, Etc.. Then We'll Be Talking (; Once you go android, you cant go back. unless you are/become a fanboy.
 
Only problem is no LTE.....unless Sprint will give us access to it in the future. Sprint's 3G sucks. In Vegas anyway.

It's probably easier just to ask what's not so great. The posts would be smaller if non existent.

While I cannot answer for everyone, I personally think it's the cream of the crop in Android devices. I want one really bad, but I'm not going to pay 600 bucks for one so I can get it without a contract. 199 is as high as I will go for a phone.
 
This would be nice, and cool, i have friends with iphones and they do tend to be incredibly smooth



But i hate apple lol, there smug were better than you attitude, the fact that in most of there devices, they remove the brand names on hardware and replace them with the world apple or just an apple icon so even if u were to open the device you'd have a hard time figuring out what is what? and made by who? lol

Also outta every company ive ever seen apple has got the best Planned Product Failure out of anyone in the business lol, ive seen things where they were getting in trouble for it and they basically dont care cause there apple lol ive personally known more then 6 different people with different apple devices that all had something go terribly wrong within a week after the day the warranty ran out, usually the battery wont charge anymore which magically isnt something they cover after the 1 year runs out lol altho buying extended warranty will help avoid this, usually extended warranties from apple themselves are expensive
 
No way. I am enjoying my Triumph, maybe I'm just easy. But I will say, the new iPhone commercials are just plain creepy. What's next, someone marrying their iPhone? I have a real wife, not one with a printed circuit board :p. I enjoy my quiet time and don't need to have a discussion with my phone of all things.
 
iPhones are a joke...I fix an average of 15 a day...Android is still superior, only thing iPhone has going for it is the camera
 
That 4s stuff with how it will talk makes me laugh big time, just like the eary days of PC all they do is brag about how they could make their PC talk, but couldn't load Doom.

So clear how much a gimmick it is, when poor Zooey Deschanel has to ask her 4S if its raining, while standing 1ft from a window full of rain.

proof its only for brain dead morons with more money then brain cells.

..just because you're paying more doesn't necessarily mean you are getting a better device...most of the people I fix phones for are very stuck up and feel like they are a level above you just because they own an iPhone.... :rofl: keep bringing in your devices, I will gladly take your money
