Virgin Mobile might release a software update

Just keep in mind I doubt they would update the Evo V 4G to Jelly Bean and leave the Sprint Evo 3D in the dust on ICS. If you can find any news about the Evo 3D getting an update around that time then you can get excited for JB. Otherwise I expect this to (hopefully) fix the Radio error.
I heard Jelly Bean will not have Adobe Flash support? is this true?

JB by default uses Chrome as the browser, which no longer supports Flash, but you can use alternate browsers that do like Dolphin or Firefox

And yes, at this time Adobe Flash app is not being updated for devices beyond 4.0.x.

So ICS is the last supported OS as far as their official app goes.

So how do you view flash websites on Jelly Bean? Sounds like we're just as bad as iphone now

I think flash is going the way of the dinosaurs with the creation of HTML 5....try a different browser perhaps like boat or sky.fire (I think that's the name.)

Seriously, you guys don't find it kind of crappy that it has been about 6 months to fix the radio issues when some people here say it's a simple fix?

Sense 4.0?

Well there are flash apps on market I believe that work with the newer OS. And you can download a different browser with integrated flash as well.

This.

Adobe is officially killing flash on mobiles. Unless you have it, I beleive you cannot even find it on the Play store anymore. It's done.

Keep a copy handy if you want to keep using it.

My thoughts... Good riddance. There are good alternatives people can use that are more safe and far less hassle. It can be a real pain to get running right on 64bit browsers.

This is false.

Jellybean is the last supported OS.

Not that it matters, any good developer has moved on to html 5 by now.

Flash always sucked on desktop and it sucked even more on mobile.

So correct me if I am mistaken but when they push the update and I am rooted with a custom rom, it will not fix my phone? Will it auto push the update or can I get it whenever I want? I am excited for this patch!

Let the devs do it if you have a custom ROM.

I bet if every VM user on these forums told VM they were switching to TM for JB(nexus 4) we would see JB next week. :D

Anyone know if we should still avoid updating if the phone is still stock with just the HTC unlock done?

Basically all I did was HTC unlock and then ran a stock rom that included Superuser in order to get tethering, still S-on.... just curious if the update would still screw with the phone?

My assumption is that it would be best to be totally stock, S-On, Bootloader locked, etc. I can also suggest that we let a dev pull it apart, and see. Though, personally, I will revert 100% to stock JUST for the update, because it seems to be easier than getting S-Off for me ;)

Also you need the stock recovery. If you flashed a rom you probably have a custom recovery. I'm with prinny. I'd say run an ruu if you're going to take an ota...
