Phone getting hot may be due to the CPU running close to it's thermal limits. By default, the performance kernel is set to push the CPU frequency to about 1.8 GHz. Use the included TricksterMod app or another CPU frequency control app to reduce the max frequency. My personal recommendation is to set the minimum frequency to 328 MHz and the Maximum to about 1.5 GHz with Interactive governor. This gives me the best combination of performance and battery life.

General/cpu frequency control changed to 384 min 'no 325' and 15121 changed governor to inactive.
Rebooted fix permission
Wipe dalvik cache
Reboot
One sec android is updating

Check app reseted back to 384 which is default but the 15121 changed and so did the governor.
Lmao nice um ok!!
It wasnt hot before i hust wanted ti tinker with an app im not familiar with lol

Turn on frequency lock (same page as frequency settings). Click the settings icon in upper right and check "kernel settings" under "set on boot" to make sure settings get applied on boot. This app also requires root access so make sure you gave it access. Also recommend going to the "specific" tab and turning off MP-Decision because the kernel does a better job of this than the daemon does.

Is the touchwiz camera laggy and buggy for anyone else? hangs often on first launch after boot. I manually have to kill task and try again. sometime to the same result.

I use TouchWiz camera almost every day to photograph the rocks that I paint in my free time. I haven't ever had this problem. Try getting a logcat while it's doing it. Maybe we can find something there.

Ok now I know you're fibbing... you can't possibly have any free time with all the time you put into perfecting this rom. ;)

I've been on mandatory bed rest since October 17th. I have way too much free time on my hands.

As to rock painting:

'Nuff said. ;)

Is the clock on holo green theme sapposed to be white. It's fine if it is. I'm not complaining. Just a question. :p
edit: never mind. I restored blue theme and then reinstalled and it worked perfect.

So far so good with TouchMe's performance kernel on 9.0a. Awesome work to the both of you, thank you!

I'll report back if I find any issues but this is feeling like a daily-driver for me, and the Google Home launcher seems quite nice, however I can't get the "Ok Google" hotword to work. Not really an issue since I can tap the mic icon anyways, so there's that.

Yeah, for some reason if you don't start from the AOSP Blue theme, some resources don't get written properly.

Lol it's "TeachMe."

As to "OK, Google," it works for me but I've seen people have trouble with it elsewhere. Try going into search settings and changing language (ie. to UK English) preform a search, then change back. Also make sure you download the latest update to offline speech recognition. I'll add some step-by-step instructions to the FAQs later.

Sometimes having a flashlight toggle effects camera are any of your issues happening after using the flashlight ? its like the toggle hasn't released the flash yet so camera don't want to launch.

Lol. So I was checking out the Google Home launcher bc I was bored, and I noticed Google search is completely voice activated by saying "OK Google". Creepy! Google listens to me beat it!

Lol! Sorry Teach, didn't look at what I was typing before I hit send D:

Going in to the voice settings and tapping to update the English (US) offline recognition pack fixed it instantly, as soon as I updated and went back to the home screen, it worked perfectly, thanks!

Im having a couple strangenesses. Any ideas as to what is causing this? Wrong font choice on my end, perhaps?

It's either the font or the launcher. There's a lot more padding around stuff on Google Home and at the very least, the search "widget" is larger than with the old stock launcher. This leads me to believe that it's likely the launcher. You may be able to resize the widget. Otherwise, try another launcher.

I keep getting "Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped" at odd intervals. Just have to press ok and no other effects noticed. Followed all installation instructions. Any fix?

I haven't run into this problem. Did you perform a clean install of 9.0 or 9.0a?

You can try clearing data for Google Services Framework.
Try removing your Google account and re-adding it to the phone.
