Holo Light Contacts 1.1 for Conquest Dominion/9.3 or higher

Some quick notes on this one:
  1. It's as close as I can get it to looking like the AOSP Contacts app but it's not a perfect replica (if you find any bugs, let me know)
  2. Changing from the "Contacts" activity to the "Dialer" activity changes the overall theme of the app. It's always been this way, but it wasn't as noticeable because both the Contacts and the Dialer used the same base theme. Contacts is now using Holo Light while Dialer is still using Holo Dark. As such, there are some glitches (ie. items in Favorites retaining a white background even in "dialer mode").
  3. This is currently being released as an add-on. It can be flashed over any theme, but may not be fully compatible with all themes (particularly the TouchWiz theme). I do not recommend flashing a theme over top of this because it probably won't be pretty. The only exceptions being KitKat (which doesn't theme the contacts app) and Holo Blue (which replaces the app outright).
  4. I may decide to replace the Holo Dark contacts with this one after some testing to make sure there are no further bugs. If I do, themes will be updated accordingly.

EDIT: Found a bug in the Quick Contact popup (forgot to change the BG color). New build coming shortly.

EDIT 2: New build up. Links updated. Fixes the quick contact popup and removed the annoying checkerboard effect from behind contact photos on the contact details page.

  • (System) Holo Light-themed contacts, tweaked theming on dialer
  • (Apps) Tweaked theming of Samsung Camera app

This release breaks compatibility with all themes except TouchWiz and KitKat. Themes will be updated to conform to this release with time permitting.

I'll be updating the themes to conform to 9.4 as time permits.

Sadly, the HTC Sense theme I planned is on hold. I likely won't be making any additional themes. Here is a basic tutorial on how to make themes if anybody wants to make their own. You can basically use VRTheme to replace any compiled file in ROM (this means decompiling your app with APKTOOL, modifying/theming the files, re-compiling, then extracting the files from the compiled APK).

I'll still be here to provide support if issues pop up. Thanks everyone, it's been a fun ride.

Get a better ISP and redownload the file. Only way to conclusively fix corrupted downloads.

If this is not the "problem" you are referring to, I'd recommend you re-post your question with some actual details because I, like most others here, cannot read your mind.

The problem is a bootloop (I think) where the colored circles just stay on the screen, nothing else. How do I move other files onto the phone when I can't access it via windows?

usually first boots can take a few minutes, if it is a bootloop just format data wipe system and clear dalvic cache and cache then reinstall. i found it best just to use default settings when installing, a few times doing custom got me a bootloop too. make sure you install one at a time and reboot after each flash. and ignore rude people who cant help someone asking a simple question. sometimes following instructions doesnt mean it will work as intended.
 
You know what? People don't want to follow instructions, too lazy to read FAQs? Fine. No more updates, no more support from me. No more downloads.
 
wow did you really remove it over someone saying your being rude? grow up dude you took more effort bashing him then trying to fix the problem.

Some ppl don't understand the dedication it takes to do this in your fee time. Nobody pays them, some of us are greatful enough to donate. Its frustrating to answer the same thing over and over because ppl flash, flash, flash and don't bother reading. I'm sure it was said dozens of times, undesired results? Wipe and reinstall. Its custom ROM 101.

Moon, I have been running your ROM since the beginning. I understand where you are coming from, but please don't let us all suffer due to a few bad apples. I have learned so much from you, it would be a shame for you to quit now.
Is there anything that can be done to make you reconsider?
 
i dont know how i could be considered a troll for helping someone. some people can dish out insults but cant take them. and i didnt even insult i just said he was being rude, because he was. enuff said
 
This was great rom, plus it had great support and was very recommended moon I understand why you took this action, but please dont let a couple of negative comments stress you out, many people and many more to come would enjoy using YOUR ROM.
