Root [Virgin Mobile] [ROM][MG2] <MG2_RYDER> [9/12/2013] [w/addons]

(All before first booting)
Flashed my MG2 ROM
Flashed the Xperia Mod (I like some of the extra apps)
Flashed my Sense Mod (Again I like some of the apps)
Flashed The MOAR Mod
Boot the phone

Let it sit for about 10min

Now to re-theme the ROM
Reboot into recovery and Flash the MOAR ROM (The FULL ROM not my addon) (Acutally just start the Aroma installer)
Now dont flash the entire MOAR ROM - we are just looking at change the theme of our ROM to the way we want it.

When AROMA installer starts select "Run Morphology ONLY"

Pick a good theme and reboot to enjoy.

All of this has to be done on a fresh install correct?
 
I noticed that my speed in transferring files from external to internal storage drops like a rock as soon as I flash KT747. I'm talking about from 18.5+ MiB/s on stock kernel down to 3.2 MiB/s or less on KT747... Would anyone happen to know what that's all about?
 
Hmm...I flashed this ROM and then flashed the MOAR mod on top of it and now I don't get data. Also tried flashing your mod for LTE and MMS and that didn't seem to work. When I install MOAR byitself and flash the LTE and MMS mod I get data which is weird but MMS receiving doesn't work.

I found some errors in the APN settings with the MOAR mod. Try the lastest APN fix (TW version)

Great ROM! Thanks for your advice and links. This ROM is working beautifully. Glad to be rid of all the Samsung bloat.
 
I am trying to get the lock screen weather working. I downloaded the rebloater, deleted all of the apks except for the 3 accuweather ones. Flashed it, but it didn't fix it. I'm guessing that I need 1 or 2 of those other apks. Anybody know which ones?
 
I just flashed this rom and booted with an error recommending that I insert a sim card. Have tried nandroid backups and several other roms and I can't restore 4g. Any ideas what might cause this?

For those on the MOAR mod or TW ROMS try this:

TW_D2VMU_APN_FIX-R3

I got it to work - but Im not in a LTE area and things that seem to work for me.....well may not for others. The only thing I noticed was to receive MMS I had to turn off Wifi. Sending was fine though.
 
Cool. Will try to flash later. Also noticed with moar mod there is no way to update profile which is what I usually have to do to get 4g working.

Fix 3 gave me 4g and MMS 1 time. Its weird I sent an MMS to myself as soon at I got 4g and it downled. 10 minutes later it won't download any MMS again.

Soo, I was on midnight ROM, then used clockwork recovery to wipe system/data/cache/davlik and then flashed the ROM. Would display samsung logo and go right back into clockwork recovery???
Anyone else seen this?

Try redownloading and reflashing the rom. Could be that your file is corrupted.
 
Okay, first of all I cant tell you how excited I am that there is REAL ROM development for this device!!!
I currently have CWM recovery 5.5.0.4. I re-downloaded the ROM, this time on a hard-wired ethernet connection and used a different microsd card. Same error.
I've tried at the instructions stated. Factory/data/dalvik. Didnt work, then formatted system also, and then the other steps. Always gets a successful flash, but will always come back to recovery. Hmmm
 
Also, the MD5 was correct. I have a feeling there is a step somewhere that I am missing.
Im going to flash midnight 1.04 to make sure it has the latest sprint update installed and try again
 
It turns out the reason I could not download the file has something to do with my companies file transfer policies on the switch. Strange, also explains why I cannot get full ISO files here.
Anyhow, I figured the midnight ROM I was on was still MD7, and it would seem that was the issue on flashing this ROM. I ended up following the steps outlined in the thread referenced above and then was able to flash the Ryder ROM with no issues. Its pretty nice I have to admit, especially with the xperia theme. Quite pleased! Thanks again for all your work on this.
 
love the ROM,looking for a fix to use MMS with GOSMS,i dont use the stock messaging app,i can send pictures just fine through stock,but trying to send through GOSMS always fails. any suggestions?
