You should be good then. In terminal type free and if there are numbers in the swap then it's working if its all zeros in its not.

If your question is can it be used in SSM mode then yes it can was only giving you that the check to make sure it's working right.

Yeah I got everything setup with my SSM 4 partition mode, I'm pretty sure anyway, but I couldnt remember if the act of "using internal as more memory" was specific to just Data mode, or both. It;s been a while since I messed with it and can't remember exactly. I went back through 3 different topics, but still not sure. This is my current Terminal output:

Yes, you are correct. When you use SSM stl13 is being used for data.
With data mode you aren't using stl13 for anything, its dormant so there is no issues turning it into swap
