Root WARNING: before you flash your radios, read this thread!!!!

Splash screen. I think I got it figured out just need some help with the moving and location of some files. I pulled the battery, if I brick it, I'll get another one. Just want to know what's wrong.

I then replaced the battery and powered up, still stuck at the splash.

Now on to the repair, I have some older nandroids saved on my laptop. Once my sdcard is being read by the sdcard reader, where should I put the nandroids and how do I get back to the recovery screen to restore it/them.

it will depend if they will give you a new one or not. if they just fixed it then there should be a clockwork mod folder the nandroids are there. you can theoretically place the nandrdoid anywhere you want on the card so long as you know where it is.

I f...... got it. I had to boot into fastboot, then recovery, then the nandroid I placed from my backup directory (KEEP YOUR BACKUPS PEOPLE) and it's loading now. Will edit with my findings.

It Worked! Plus my radio is updated......smh at myself.

I meant buy one, Craigslist is the best. Well here in the DC area anyway.

so, after all the noise about radios this weekend, I decided to check my wimax mac address... under /settings/about phone/hardware

To my surprise... mac adress is "unavailable" :( I assume this is no good? I've only had the damn phone a lil over a week, and havent flashed any radios... just a couple roms (cm7, salvage mod, kings, and now mik3d)
My last phone had issues with 4g after flashing a couple roms ( I think because I wiped my wimax in recovery??) and I tried to flash the updated wimax, and well... somehow bricked the thing.... so I'm not doin anything w radios again, unless I have to!! lol

I do have my stock (10 min after I got the phone) nand backup, and I DID backup my wimax, so hopefull just a nand restore will fix....

any thoughts or suggestions? I gotta wait at least a month or 2 before I brick another, and use the insurance again....lol

that is actually pretty normal. best thing to do is get the WiMAX Key Checker. i really doubt that you lost your key just from flashing roms.

Good deal... I did flash back to my stock rom, with wimax backed up, and still unavailable, so I guess I will find out 2morrow when I'm near 4g again if it works or not...

I did something wrong....I switched over to the Amon-ra via the CWM Rom Manager. thought this was the proper way. I then flashed the combo from there and everything seemed to be working ok (in the recovery that is). I rebooted and now I'm stuck in hboot. Bootloader, reboot, reboot bootloader, nor power down works, theyre all clickable but it goes right back to where it was.

Any help on this one?

I guess this is an illustration of what I have heard in here about that Rom Manager being buggy and causing problems. What a PITA, huh?

glad you got it straight!

I am at a loss. What exactly happened over the weekend with the Radios? I have subscribed to the Roms thread and noticed that Ocnbrze posted the All in One Radio update, which I really didn't think about.

Then on Tuesday, was out in town and tried to get on the Google Map navigation and would not connect to any radio, 3G, 4G, nothing. Pulled up my switches and saw that my 4G switch was missing, no longer available. Could not connect to anything. And for no reason.

I am running Amon-Ra, with the MikG - Sense 2.1+3.0-v2.5 Rom. I had updated to the 2.5 rom last week, and really didn't notice the 4G switch. So maybe it was missing then. Not for sure.

Anyway, after seeing that I was not able to connect to any of the Radios, came home and flashed the All in One Radio. Had the same problems as above, stuck at the splash screen, etc. When I flashed the new AiO Radio, I read that you might have to reflash the main Rom. So went back and reflashed the MikG 2.5.

Anyway everything is fine and as far as I can tell everything is working as it should, at least as far as I can tell. But just checked my 4G Mac Address and it said "Unknown". Loaded up the WiMax Key Checker and it found everything Ok.

So as far as I can tell everything is working fine EXCEPT the missing icons on my Lock screen has disappeared since I reflashed everything. But am not messing with anything else. Will just wait for a new update...
