I have to say that I have always felt welcome on Android Forums because the Sprint HTC Hero forums brought me up to speed on Android quickly with knowledgeable and friendly folks. I have also had similar luck in the B&N Nook Color subforum.

Now that I am frequenting the Sprint HTC EVO 4G and Sprint HTC EVO 3D subforums more often, I continue to feel welcome and surrounded by dedicated and enthusiastic people. I would say that makes this a great place to be.
 
I was the same as LBPHeretic. Got my Hero and didn't know what to do after that. Did a simple search and this forums was at the top of the list. I've received nothing but love and help from alot of Android enthusiasts. It's made me an addict (though I'll never admit that to my wife).
 
Have to agree with everyone else, I started with the G1 but didn't find out about this place until I got my Eris, I have always felt welcomed and no matter what phone I have used there have always been great users/guides/mods on each forum.
 
HTC/Sprint phones are magnetic. The OG was a runaway post leader as well.

I still like having something different though which is why other than the guy I met when I picked up my phone on launch day, I have yet to see anyone else with a 3D. That makes me happy.

Has anyone mentioned the phone is awesome? Makes my EVO that I use side by side feel a bit dated.
 
Yeah agree with a lot of folks here. The HTC hero brought me to this forum. The help and knowledge that the members know and provide is a blessing.
 
After reading this post I went and checked the photon 4g forum(released today to sprint premiere) which will be release in three days. That place is a ghost town. Ppl have prolly posted more stuff in this forum about that phone than they post in its own forum, lol. Even the SG2 forum pales in comparison. This place is happening!

If community is important, then HTC is the right choice, hands down. I can't even explain why there's such a huge difference. Based on sales and popular opinion, I honestly can't explain why the HTC phones have such a huge forum following.

Galaxy S phones. Supposedly super popular and a sales success. Dead forums. Everyone's doing their own thing I guess. HTC fans like to hang out and party? Yeah I don't get it.
 
Agreed, the Mods in this section run a tight ship and are genuinely passionate about the phones and knowledgable about the tech without being pompous or overbearing. Best mods I've seen.

I'll second this. Great community here. Thanks everyone for helping me become my circle of friends' and coworkers' Android guru/go to guy!

The HTC forums rock because while the other forums are all concerned about why their phones are best, us HTC cats just tend to stare blankly at that and respond with, "So. How about this app? Who's tried it? Reason I'm asking is...."
