Welcome Huawei Ascend users!

This is straight from the z4root screen itself.

" You can remove the root using the un-root button, which will delete all of the files installed to root your device"

So that means, it's only going to delete z4root?

The way I did it did not require to install anything on the phone, it was all done through the computer, and did not have a option to unroot. I am installing z4root now anyway to see if it gives me the option to unroot.

I was gonna suggest that but didn't think you would want to. :P

I think you need to unroot with the app you used to root it.

It wasn't an app, there is no option to unroot with what I used

Where did you hear about the app or whatever it's called that you used to root with? Can you go back there and get some more info on it? And what is it's technical name other than SC1.3 ?

SuperClick v1.3, I just sent a message to the dev

Here is some info at the XDA Developers site about unrooting that might help you:

Unroot any phone

That is way too much, when I can just click unroot on z4root :P, and that says you need the update file first......but how am I suppose to get it when the notification did not hit my phone yet. That is telling you to flash your phone back to complete normal and that will WIPE EVERYTHING, and I don't want to wipe my phone back to stock to just update and have to root again and uninstall all the bloatware again, and install all the stuff I need. They also saying you need to flash back to normal if you have a custom rom installed which I don't. I am just rooted with the stock rom, so I would just need to unroot, and install the update, and then root again

I wouldn't want to tell you to unroot with z4root and take the risk of bricking your phone, even though it may be that simple. What I would do, however, if I were you is download z4root and just see if it recognizes that you are rooted and does give you the option to unroot. If it does, it probably knows what files to delete to get you unrooted. I'd backup everything first however.

Does SC1 stand for SuperClick One? And is it available at the market?

When I open up my z4root application it gives me two options now that I am rooted.

First is: re-root

Second: unroot

I would suggest finding the app you used and downloading the app onto your phone and seeing if you have the option to unroot on it.

I already did, and it says you are already rooted, and gives me the option to unroot.

Hmmmm......it's your decision then. I'm not familiar enough with the method you used to root or the consequences to be of any help here. Maybe you should wait until you hear from the developer you emailed. Is there any pressing reason for you to unroot now?

I was not planning to unroot now, just getting ready

Planning ahead is a good thing.

I'm glad I rooted with z4root! :D

I am guessing if Z4root recognized I was rooted, and is giving me the option to re-root or un-root. I am guessing I should be ok.

I am only not sure if I should uninstall TB, BB, and stuff like that before un-rooting.

I don't think it will be necessary. They will not work unless you are rooted so they probably will be removed in the process but they will probably come back when you re-root. Just a guess on my part, however, from experience with other apps I have used.

Root applications - anything that needs root permissions - Titanium, AdFree, Root Explorer, etc. You DONT have to uninstall them - they just won't work until you re-root.

It better work :P I would hate to brick my phone when I just got my 2nd one, and it was for free :P Maybe I should ignore 2.2 : \ HAHA RIIIIGHT

Right! What have you got to lose? Go ahead and try it now! I'm sure you can manage to get your third phone free with your con...errrr....people skills!! LOLOLOL ;)
