Welcome Huawei Ascend users!

It's ok if everything is completely wiped off the phone, it really won't be that much of a pain to re-root and re-install the apps. I bought Launcherpro Plus, but I have a unlock key, so I am pretty sure I could download the free one again, and re unlock it, but I have it backed up so LP isn't a prob, and all my other apps are free, and I made a list of what I have, I could just re-download, and install everything. Won't take long. I wish the camera could be updated though... 3.2MP isn't really a crappy camera, it could be the camera's software that makes it so wack. My old phone was a ZTE Essenze, and the camera was less than a 3.2MP and took better pictures, and they came out bigger once I sent them to the pc...the ascends pics are small..it upsets me
 
i have a question. i got the free version of handcent sms and wen i get a text message the stock message comes on as well. can i unistall the stock messaging? does this makes sense?

No you can't. You have to go into the stock messaging app and disable notifications so you don't get doubles.

Pretty sure your purchases are tied to your google account and will be available for download as long as you sign in with the same account. I've been through 4 different models of android phones and carriers and my purchases have followed me.

The camera is one of the worst things about the Ascend to me. No flash and no autofocus. It's really lame compared to other cameras I've had on phones.

I am enjoying learning on this Droid but I'll be very happy when I can get the IDEOS X6.

Nice, unfortunately, I will be using the Ascend for quite some time to come.

I have the paid version of Juice Defender and there is a slight difference. I upgraded to Ultimate and have found it really helps save on battery life.

I think you have to have the paid version before you can upgrade it to Ultimate, but not sure.

Nah, you can go straight into the market and buy Ultimate. I just wanted someones .apk to try it out because I found the paid version for free, but it seems to turn on my wifi everytime I unlock the screen, and I can't stop it, so I had to delete it. I hate to buy the ultimate, and have the same problem. =(

I had the wifi problem when I first got the Ultimate. I can't recall how I stopped it but it's no prob now.

I think you'll like it.

I may buy it one day, as of now I'm not using any Juice Defender because the free version keeps bugging out
 
The fraud department from my bank called me this morning because of the unusual activity of me buying all these little apps that showed up on my account.

LOL

I'm glad they did because it makes me feel safer. :)

The free version is set on 1m for every 30min, but sometimes I don't get my emails for hours because it decides not to turn data back on every time....just a pain. Battery seems to be doing well without it right now actually.
 
I have twitter widget and facebook widget running all the time. Also, weather clock widget. LOL

Also..a live animated wallpaper with my fishies swimming around. I'm surprised my battery doesn't drain faster. And it did before I got JD. LOL
