When I was a child, we drank non homogenized non supplemented milk at most every meal. Now I buy doctored whole milk from the grocery store a half gallon at a time and rarely consume it all before it goes bad. Real cow's milk is something wonderful and nothing like what is purchased from the grocery store.
We are tea drinkers. The wife and I each have our favorite loose leaf tea that we brew. I like black tea and Darjeeling is my favorite. The wife is a green tea drinker... no clue what she buys.
Soda pop is something that we never drink. We quit sodas back in the early seventies and none of my four children ever liked pop. Sweet drinks are far from thirst quenching IMO. Oddly enough, it is an acquired taste much like coffee.
We do like our coffee. The wife and I both enjoy fresh ground coffee daily. We both like a dark roast coffee and our favorite is Kenya AA. More often than not we drink a dark Columbian coffee sold by Costco. It is not Kenya AA beans but is not bad for one fourth the cost. The beans make a robust flavored coffee short of being bitter.
I do not drink water. I haven't had a drink of water in decades. That certainly goes against the recommendations but I've never tasted city water that amounted to anything. I consume my water in tea, coffee, or beer. Beyond the added flavor, it was all boiled before consumption.
And for what I'm drinking right now... I'm having a Shiner 1909 from the Spoetzl Brewery. It is a lager beer with a very clean finish. It isn't quite as good as Modelo Negra which is my favorite lager but a bit cheaper and I get a 10% discount on domestic purchases vs imports.
