What do your X Screens look like?

Yeah, I understand all that. But I simply can't get it to work. If I put the transparent one in first, then I have no clue how to add the correct pictures for the shortcuts. Everything I choose doesn't give me that look. Guess I'll give up on this. I've spent way too much time on it.

If anybody has the time and will give explicit simple instructions (detailed) on how to get this, I'd appreciate it. I must be an idiot.

you wouldnt be adding the correct pictures for the shortcuts thats the point of picking a blank icon and the buttons (on the created dock bar) having words on it. id give better instructions but i dont even have my phone yet im just going off of what ive read the past week :p

OK, I must be missing something. I know you can customize the dock in LP, but I cant seem to create anything nearly as nice as what people have here. Or, am I just missing where you can get different docks?

Sorry if I sound like an idiot...

Glad I'm not the only idiot on this forum. :D

I guess if you know what you are doing, the instructions are great. But if you are a newbie, some of them just aren't detailed enough to get us idiots on the right course. :)

I got my icons from LauncherPro Icons | Custom Android app icons for the awesome LauncherPro home screen replacement

Once you download the icons you want (they should be saved to your SD card) or get an icon pack from the web/market, you long press on the dock icon you want to change. Select Custom, and your image gallery should open up, find the icon you want and pick it. That should do the trick. Once I downloaded mine, I hooked the phone to my PC and moved the docks into a Dock Folder and the icons into an Icon folder so I don't have to sort through them all every time.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I can do that. But I wanted the dock look MrNoSox had. He had a sensebar folder with three images in it. I want the perfect sense dock like he had. I reset LauncherPro to default settings. I just have no clue what to do to get it set and to work. I longpress on apps (LP default) for example and choose that image and it doesn't appear correctly. It is like very very small.

I don't know if I am supposed to choose the transparent image first, or select the dock image first. I've tried everything. I can get other looks, but not that one. And I'm frustrated. This can't be that hard.

I even tried blanking out all the LP 5 folders at the bottom. Then the perfect sense dock will appear correctly. I then chose transparent as I was directed to do. But it isn't functional then.

Anyone else noticing this graphic bug with Launcher Pro?

I noticed this yesterday with LPP and the Fancy Widget. I figured it was "normal" - I didn't realize this didn't happen w/ the stock launcher. Thanks, this is all I'll see now! :(

Hmmm, I haven't tried that, so you may want to send him a PM for a step by step guide or something like that. I doubt it's that hard, like you said, but for me, if I wanted that look, I would've bought the Incredible instead!;)

It's more just me wanting to learn how to customize my phone. I've figured alot out and hate not being able to do things possible I see others doing. :)

Maybe my problem is that the icons have to be edited with some market application I don't have.

When I long press the LP icons to change them to the custom icons folks have shared in this poast here, they all come out like very very small and you can barely see them.

So I'm missing something I guess.

Anyone else noticing this graphic bug with Launcher Pro? I pulled a couple of screens from previous posters to compare Launcher Pro with the stock launcher...

Both are using Fancy Widget but the first shot is LP and the second one is stock. Notice on LP that there is a weird outline that shows up around the text on the clock and the shadows around the white part. Also shows up around the weather icons. If you look at the second shot from the stock launcher, none of these outlines show up. Another weird thing is if you start to move to another screen on LP, those outlines disappear until it settles back into place.

Yeah. I noticed those lines, but didn't realize that they are a result of LP. I actually kinda like them. They almost give the numbers a "beveled" look.

Just out of curiosity... what's so cool about Hitman? I see a lot of people have some kind of picture of him.

Yeah. I was wondering that myself. I thought the movie was not particularly good, and the games are only slightly above average. I don't understand the popularity.

Can someone who knows alot about customizing the dock help me here please? I am interested in getting this dock on my phone. I downloaded everything and have it on my phone. But I can't get it to work for some reason.

I can get the look, but it does nothing. :) Is this functional? If so, how do I get it to work. I chose the blank sensebar MrNoSox had in his zipped file, but of course it is then blank. What do I do to get the dock on there and for it to work. And what does the the + and ^ buttons do? Are they customizable as well?

Gosh I'm learning alot with this phone, but still lost LOL. And it frustrates the hell out of me when I can't get something to work. :D

From what I have read, that is not a functional dock. It is simply a dock background for launcher pro, then the launcher pro dock on top of it with invisible icons.

It could be. I certainly can't get it set-up.

My problem is, it appears you have to set that Sense Dock as the dock under appearances in LP for it to look proper. Yet folks are saying I should set the transparent dock under appearances in LP. You can't do both. Can you? If I set the transparent one, I simply want to know how in the heck do you get that Sense Dock at the bottom like I'm seeing folks show. And are those 3 buttons functional? If I long-press the LP icons to change the shortcut, and then select custom to find the pictures I want in my gallery (I have over 250 in there), then they come on the bottom of the phone very tiny and unreadable. Nothing like what folks are posting in this thread.

So I'm doing something wrong. Maybe those pictures need editing with a market application I'm missing?

I sure wish someone who knew would pipe in and tell me how to do this. At this point I'm so frustrated I want to throw my phone against the wall. :D

I can't keep the darn Moto contact widgets from resizing after resets, regardless what size I make them. Anyone else having this issue or know of a fix? I even tried to keep the original 4 row widget setting, but it didn't work. This is annoying

I will try this out and try and provide a step by step, but for now I will give the basic run down of what you need to do.

You will need to download the sense dock picture. Then pick that via the dock background in launcher pro. Then you will set up your dock icons and pick a transparent icon so that the dock picture you chose is all that shows up.

I have messed with my dock a bit and think this is correct advice, but I will try it and let you know if any steps are wrong.

MikeGL2, you just made my day! Perfect explaination and exactly what I needed. It's done. So easy. But not when I was going about it wrong. Makes sense now.

Again, much thanks!

Okay, here is a link to the sense dock background and blank icon zip file:

http://www.launcherpro.com/forum/download/file.php?id=556

Download this and open it. Get the dock background called PerfectSense_BG.png and the icon called Blank_Icon onto your phone and assign it as the launcher pro background by going menu>preferences>Appearance Settings> Dock Background>Custom>Folders>Downloads and selecting PerfectSense_BG.

Now, using ShorterCut (or an equivalent custom icon management app), assign the dialer to the center three icons individually, and assign the Blank_Icon image as the icon graphic. Do the same for the left and right dock icons (over the up arrow and the plus symbol) but link them to the appropriate commands for those buttons.

That should do it.

Same here, pretty annoying. It also resizes randomly, not always just after a reboot.

and the bottom?
Sorry fellas, I need to check this thread more often I guess. The top calendar part was answered correctly (LauncherPro+'s Calendar widget), the bottom is Android Agenda Widget using one of the included themes (I'd get the name but I stopped using this widget in favor of Jorte until LP+'s gets more functionality).

I had to change my lock screen since I was having issues with the Audio Manager widget on the lock screen and home screen. When I changed the levels on one it would not reflect the changes in the other even after opening the widget.

I'm curious about the battery gauge on the lock screen, but I bet I know the answer. I have to root to be able to place it there, don't I?
