Swype is a beta that is closed. someone will likely point you to a working copy of it. but i'm telling you, just try SlideIt. I've showed it to 2 other people, and neither ever looked back.

1 for Shapewriter. Like swype but better in my opinion. I say that because it guesses the correct word way more accurately than swype does. The only thing missing is the arrows but I find it to be quick regardless.

I can't use speech to text on a regular basis. Maybe I use too much slang. Plus I'd feel like an idiot randomly speaking a text into my phone out in public. I do use it when I'm driving tho.

Been using Swype for a while but just loaded Swiftkey. The prediction works pretty well. Just wish it had some alternate skins. The default washed out look is unappealing to me. Some of the smaller symbols are hard for me to see without my glasses. I'll keep using it for a while.

Update: I've pretty much switched back to Swype for day-to-day use. While I found I can type much faster using Swiftkey because of the great prediction, the Swype keyboard blows it away with functions such as cursors, text selection, symbol layers, numeric keypad design when in some apps. If I need to type out something long, I'll just pop back over to Swiftkey.

Another Swype user. I had a devil of a time using the stock keyboard but swype has solved that for me. For those using swype and want speak to text, just hit the menu button and the option is there. One extra step but it's there.

That only works in some apps. Never worked in any app I Swype in so far. It is coming though as they have the button on other devices.

I like Swype, but I've had way too many issues with shorter words. Though, in Swype's defense, I can't believe it does what it does in the first place.

I can honestly say I've used ALL keyboards. Really liked shapewriter although I'm in the minority with thinking that it's better than Swype however Swiftkey takes the prize. I'm 10x faster with swiftkey then Swype or any other keyboard...it's really THAT fast and really knows what your going to say

I like the prediction on the stock, it seems to learn just what im gonna type! Tried 2 other keyboards (dont recall the names sorry) 1 didnt have the predictions, 1 did, but it seemed to never predict what I was gonna type

google swype apk. there should be plenty of places that mentions where u can get it. I have it and it is awesome. i was freaking out after the update but then i just uninstalled and installed and all is well
