Well it's hard to say without seeing yours, but I can tell you this much It is hard to get used to on a large 27" screen. My main gripe is that unlike in smaller laptop screens where the menu panel remains relatively centered. on the large screen all the drop down menus end up on the left side of the screen. Since mac pushes all the menus into the panel (giving the application more screen space, you end up with an application screen in the center of the screen, with it's menus way on the left. It feels a bit disjointed.

Other than that I'm pretty happy with it. everything works perfectly out of the box. Infact the only issues I've had are with the MS office suite and some online media software that is based on microsoft software, which the mac just did not like. It is otherwise blindingly fast.

Besides that I'm not really sure what else to tell you as I don't know how it runs on your machine.
 
Runs pretty great on mine, only thing that sucks since I have to use a different kernel other than the stock darwin I don't have a reset option if I want to reset my machine. I can turn it off and put it to sleep and do everything else okay.
 
At home I run Windows Vista on my desktop, CentOS on my server, and I dual boot Windows XP/Ubuntu Netbook Remix on my netbook.
 
Using Win7 because of the university.

I'm very pleased with it so far, it's made for my uni projects and very easy to navigate and sort documents for easy go through.

So thumbs up there!
 
I'm a Mac guy at heart. At home I'm all Mac-ed up, sporting a collection of Apple kit that would make the folks at 1 Infinite Loop envious. I have old PowerBooks running everything from System 6 through OS9, and of course all our new hardware is running Leopard or Snow Leopard (depending on system capabilities). The wife and kids are Mac users too.

I have an IBM ThinkPad T60P that I use for work, and that's running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Only the Home version because I paid for it all myself, and the 64-bit version to recognize the full 4GB of RAM I installed. I have to say, as a confirmed Mac user, I have hated Windows for quite some time. Bad experiences, not fanboy hype was to blame. And I'm sure I blamed some hardware problems on Windows as well. Windows 2000 was ok in it's day, XP became pretty decent with SP3, Vista was a steaming pile of poo, and Windows 7 is pretty darn good. I still prefer the elegance of Max OSX and it's file system, but Windows 7 is a decent alternative, and of course it's the standard in the business world.

At work all the desktops run Windows XP. Typical corporate mentality, keep the old tried-and-true OS running the critical work applications. Even Office is 2003. I suppose we'll upgrade the desktops here to Windows 7 about the time they release Windows 9 to the public.

I've tried Linux and I guess I'm just not enough of a geek to appreciate it. I tried Yellowdog Linux on old Mac hardware and it finally got decent around v.5. I put Mandrake Linux on an old Sony Vaio and had a devil of a time finding drivers for some stuff. Like the video card. I have an old ThinkPad X31 on loan to a friend so if/when if comes back I may try Ubuntu or Red Hat on it.
