What's for dinner ?

Tonight is the beginning of fridge clean out due to our upcoming vacation trip. :)
Pesto ravioli from Trader Joes, some sauteed veggies with it, roasted brussel sprouts and some quick flatbread.

Beijing style BBQ scorpion, spicy duck heads, and cheese & tomato covered cardboard(pizza).

Tonight we're eating 'spaghetti with sauerkraut' :P
Here's how we prepare it:
Empty a pack of sauerkraut in* colander and wash it with cold water.
Fry some fine cut bacon, and add it to the colander.
Open a can with pine apple pieces and pour the juice in a small bowl. The pieces can be added to the colander. If you happen to have a fresh apple, cut it and add it to the colander as well. Mix it all well and put it in a baking dish.

Add about 200 grams of creme fraiche to the juice, along with ~8 turns of the pepper mill, and a good topped spoon with garlic paste. Stir it until it's smooth. Add a small hand of raisins to it, to weld.

Cook 250 grams of spaghetti. Hustle it with the rest in the baking dish and pour the sauce over it. Make sure the sauce is mixed with all.

Since everything (except the spaghetti) is cold: put the dish in the oven for 15 minutes at 180C.
Bon appetit!

Individual chicken pot pies. Not the typical hot summer night dinner, but I was in the mood for some warm comfort food. And damn did it turn out good (first time making one!). :)

Home made hot and sweet sausages, meatballs, and meat sauce on spaghetti. Homemade cheesy garlic bread. Prilosec OTC as an appetizer.:D

Chicken breast in pieces, with pineapple, scallion, mush, in a yellow curry sauce, with rice tonight.

That black bean pasta looks really interesting, I'll have to keep an eye out for it!
(ideas on what stores would carry it?)

Last night we had the neighbors over for dinner so I made a delicata squash and apple soup, lasagna/cannelloni of sorts, and a rustic apple walnut tart with some salted caramel gelato from Dolcezza. :)
