What's for dinner ?

My pizzas were just okay. A better tasting crust and perhaps a bit thinner would have been more to my liking. I left myself room to improve. :) It was still a fun cook and my pies were great for something different.
I'm just getting to the point where I'm less worried about screwing them up and looking to improve my stuff.

I have a wedding to attend this afternoon so I think dining out is likely.
I'm hoping for my favorite Mexican cuisine but Mrs. olbriar might have something different in mind. My next option to advocate would be an upscale eatery we tried a couple of weeks ago and were quite impressed. She had a salad that was fantastic and I had a knock your socks off burger and fries. A repeat might be a good compromise.

My wife made homemade seafood chowder. She's cutting up the bread bowls now. It smells fantastic and I can't wait.

Due to unexpected company, I grabbed a burger and fries from McDonalds. The next time I am forced to adlib for dinner at 9PM it will be something different...

Hamburger soup. Ground beef, mixed veggies, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and seasonings... basil, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper.
Pretty basic, very easy, and quite tasty on a cold evening.

Had left over fish from Friday, my mother did grew up outside of Catholic, but never committed fully like my brother-in-law is.
Most of this past week's been nothing but pizza :)
A healthy few breaded fish with broccili and potatoes. :)

I fixed a pot of pork chili tonight. Pinto beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion, jalapenos, and left over pulled pork. Spiced with some chili seasoning and served with chili cheese corn chips and shredded cheddar cheese.

Yesterday we empty out the fridge day, leftover green beans, Brussel sprouts as well as fried shrimp that was made.
Funny thing about eating fried shrimp vs. thawed out, I tend to eat the tail up.

Tonight I'm trying a new to me restaurant called Fat Ernies. I've been informed that on Fridays they have an all you can eat catfish fry that is super good. Loving catfish makes it a must try establishment.

Added: Fat Ernies is a must try establishment in my future. My wife and youngest daughter went Christmas shopping this afternoon which took longer than planned.... imagine that. :) We opted to go to my favorite Mexican restaurant. They were busy as well but at least there was parking spots to be had.

I almost always smoke something on Sundays but not today. A friend that I haven't seen in many years was in town so we met and talked over pizza at a local joint. It was a great time but I missed my patio goodie.

Last night I joked in the Grill thread that after eating ribeyes I would likely eat hamburger helper tonight. Be careful what you joke about.
Tonight it's some sort of help me dear burger helper for dinner. :)

I had vac sealed the very point of a brisket I smoked prior to xmas. Today I thawed it out and turned it into beef and noodles. Very basic.
Frozen egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, beef consume, a bit of soy sauce, coarse ground pepper, and diced brisket point. Served up with some fresh baked dinner rolls made for a fine winter dinner.
