is that really cooking? or just re-heating????:thinking::thinking::thinking:

:p:p:p:p
Point taken. Let's just say it's an easy dinner option without any hassle or mess. It's obvious that it is a popular option with all of the cooler space allotted at the market. I'm mind blown with the variety of ready to cook dishes and complete meals they offer nowadays. Between both spouses working, frozen meals, fast food, and meal deliveries the number of accomplished cooks is shrinking rapidly. Three of my four children learned to cook and are versed at making great meals from scratch. My youngest can't boil water. :)

I @olbriar's defense, peeling, devaining, breading, then cooking doesn't necessarily result in a better cook for shrimp. It is a pick your battles type of dinner. I have a box of those in the freezer that I'll pair with some banana peppers and fries as well.

I buy peeled and devained frozen shrimp often. Cleaning shrimp is laborious. I love the shrimp on the barbie either as an appetizer or on a skewer with other goodies for k-bobs. Lately shrimp has been a great option for a stir-fry meat. It is true that I could bread and fry those frozen cleaned shrimp but I'm lazy. :) I know for a fact that I'll not be cleaning shrimp ever again. I question if they are worth the effort.

I'm actually anxious to try this shrimp. I haven't eaten breaded shrimp in probably forty years. Shrimp was once high on my list of fish but I OD'ed on shrimp at a peel once and lost my desire for the fish. All you can eat should not be abused. :)

I made some cajun beans and rice tonight. I used a box mix but I think moving forward I'll be making the dish from scratch. I think I can make it healthier and tastier with some effort. Cook time will be longer but that's no biggie.
