Last night I fried hamburgers and fixed some sweet potato fries. The beef still didn't taste great but at least it didn't taste spoiled. A vast improvement!

Tonight I made home made chicken and noodles.

The last two nights we've eaten sandwiches and chips. Tonight I'm trying my hand at frying some turkey burgers. High in protein and low in all the stuffs that's not good for me makes it an alternative to try. I've never had the product but read that's it's difficult to make patties out of and cooking without them falling apart. I'm trying a recipe calling for an egg and a tablespoon of Dejon mustard added to the meat mixture. Mayo is also an alternative bonder. I'm adding some garlic and and Worcestershire sauce and frying. The wife will likely have her patty on bread with more mustard and pickles. I think I'll just have mine on a plate... maybe some salsa or something. I will play it by ear.
I hope I like it. It's cheap enough and a relatively healthy meat option. I'm thinking taco or burrito meat might be the ticket. No bonding necessary. Chili meat as well. I just don't know how bland ground turkey is and how well it takes to seasonings. Wish me luck.

Yeah egg works great making turkey burgers. It does bring up the calories a bit though. I love ground turkey. It's cheap especially if you get it at Costco. You buy ax whole bunch and freeze the rest. They are also great fir making tacos as well.

I wasn't that impressed with the flavor. I'm struggling with the flavor of meat. I can't imagine the heart attack effecting the taste buds. I'm thinking it's due to the meds that I'm on. I'll try tacos or burritos out of the ground turkey next time. Peppers, onions, lettuce, chili seasoning are all low or have zero sodium. :)

Had to try it. It was on sale due to it expiring at the end of the month

Plant based Beyond Sausage - Hot Italian Sausage. It actually wasn't too bad. I baked it for 20 minutes at 400F, turning it once. It had mild heat.

The sausage looks good. I've not had any seasoned sausages for over a month and they sound wonderful. They might taste bad anyway. I know they are sodium high that I have to avoid. They still look good. :)

I had two chicken breasts left from last nights dinner. I shredded one for tacos which were pretty darn good. I took the other breast and diced it up with some boiled eggs, dill relish, celery, mayo, and horseradish for a one meal chicken salad sandwiches.
