Frosty might not appreciate it.you'd be hard pressed to find anyone around these parts complaining.
i can't recall snow being this low in our mountains. it must be below 2,000 ft.....that is so crazy. it has been at least a decade or so, since the snow level has been this low. the foothills have been lightly dusted with snow as well. We're having record snowfall here in SoCal; our local mountains are gloriously snowy! The ski and snowboard resorts have already been open for weeks. Lots of happy people playing in the snow, building snowmen, having snowball fights.
I know! My helper and I were just talking about that. If it comes down a little lower...we'll have snow stories to tell! Like my mom's about the day it snowed in Pasadena. Stay tuned...i can't recall snow being this low in our mountains. it must be below 2,000 ft.
Yes, they truly are. One of my favorite pre-illness things to do was bask in the 80+ degree weather, while gazing at the snow-capped mountains under a glorious blue sky.Snow capped mountains are simply majestic. I envy the eye candy.
Ha ha, this is -nothing- like a ski lift. That does look like fun. With a daughter now living in Ca. I can see the tram happening at some point. Thanks
The only time I rode a lift it looked like this.
do they take dogs? that would be a fun adventure for me and my dog to take. There's something I think you and your family would really enjoy, @olbriar. It's the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
It's an amazing experience any time of year, but if you plan it just right, you can enjoy temperatures in the 80s down below then, in about 12 minutes, play in the snow at 8,500+ feet! And those are twelve of the most breathtaking minutes you'll ever spend.
Even the drive up there is fun and beautiful, as you wind and snake your way uphill. There's plenty to do and see at both ends of the tramway: museums, documentaries about its construction, restaurants, hiking, camping, gift shops, photography, taking in the expansive view--even the Salton Sea.
It's one of my very favorite things in life, and no one I've taken there has failed to be mesmerized. I think you'd love it.
Honestly, I don't know, but I can't recall ever seeing any dogs there. You're right, it would be fun...but my gut instinct is 'no.'do they take dogs? that would be a fun adventure for me and my dog to take.
Everything is overhead in New England (with the exception of the cities). Thankfully, temps stayed just above freezing and the ice line was a few miles north of me.Dang, I hope you don't have any overhead services. Stay safe my friend.
