What's the weather like where you are?

Thankfully, temps stayed just above freezing and the ice line was a few miles north of me.

I was wondering if you got the frozen stuff. We've had rain mixed with temps much too warm for the holidays. Today it's getting close to 50°F (again). Even in NYC it's supposed to be above freezing when the ball drops. The way it's been the past few years, we'll get lulled into a false sense of security and then get dumped on in February and March.

It froze a little overnight (rain didn't move out until midmorning today). Strangely enough, during the rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow mix last night a pretty good thunderstorm blew through adding 1/2" hail.

Regardless, my mail still came through.

It's been nice here between the holidays. The lows near freezing and highs in the mid fifties is nothing to complain about for this time of year. If there is a rub, it's been far windier than there in any need of. It's really not that bad here in town but I just came from the country where it seemed gale force.

Sunny, blue skies, highs in the 70s for the next 7 days, says my local TV forecast. No complaints from me. :)

I did get a 'high wind' advisory this afternoon, expiring tomorrow. But hopefully that'll pass without incident.

Not exactly where I am, but it impacts us down here: California's snowpack is right on target! :D

This is great news, as the snow in the Sierras provides a great deal of water for the state when it melts.

If you should follow the link in this paragraph, "A recent survey found that only 3.6% of the state was abnormally dry, a major improvement from the drought years," please note that Arcadia--being in LA--is NOWHERE NEAR THE 3.6%, yet we still have watering restrictions. Just us. No one else. Ugh.

IT has been really beautiful over here, just light snow on my suposed to be wedding date, but it was alright, I spend it instead with my sister and brother in law :)

The big weather system with its dire forecast moved through here Friday and early Saturday without much impact. Less than an inch of snow but we did receive a good rain. No complaints from me. Warmer weather is in the forecast for next week. Not bad for January.
Yeah, it's nice to get outside and throw a baseball around with my son instead of shoveling snow.

"The Los Angeles County health officer Sunday issued a cold weather alert through Thursday for the Antelope Valley and mountain areas due to wind-chill temperatures expected to dip below 32 degrees."

(I know, I know, you're probably laughing if you're somewhere really cold or, like me, have lived somewhere like that, but for LA County this is a pretty big deal!)

At least I still have some weather here Joe. Sorry to hear that you've run out of weather.

Mid forties here this morning. It looks like a decent day except it's overcast and windy. A chance of snow is in the forecast for tomorrow and rain Friday. We need the moisture.
