thank god for ac!!!!!! i just hope we do not get any blackoutsHang in there neighbor, @ocnbrze! It could be worse: it was 122° in Palm Springs, and my cousin sizzled in 115° in Van Nuys. Woodland Hills hit 118.
This can't last forever...right?
We might. Because of the extreme heat, we're in a Stage 2 Emergency/Flex Alert right now, with rolling blackouts possible. If our 40 million neighbors don't comply with requests to conserve electricity, we'll move into Stage 3 again, along with its definite rolling blackouts.thank god for ac!!!!!! i just hope we do not get any blackouts
You're sooooo lucky.... Enjoy it!Chilly morning the cold season is coming
Oh no! That must've been frustrating.i bet @MoodyBlues you got a lot of ash this morning from the Bobcat fire.....i sure did. AND I JUST HAD MY CAR CLEANED!!!!!!!!!
Oh no! That must've been frustrating.
To be honest, I really don't know whether we've had any ash-fall; no one's mentioned it to me.
That area that's burning above Azusa is near one of my favorite spots in our local mountains. I hope they get it under control soon. But with so many fires burning right now, combined with the unbelievable heat and bone-dry conditions...I don't know.
Ugh... That's awful. [Reminds me of the smog I grew up in, in the 1960s.]
that's the sun amongst all of the ash in the air
Oh....my.....goodness!i would not doubt it.
