What's the weather like where you are?

It turned out very January today after an unusually warm day yesterday. I did not get the light snow that was in the forecast for today so I guess all is good. I did take a picture of the sky tonight as I was curbing my dumpsters. What sort of clouds are these?

It was a clear day today but chilly. Temps got into the low forties for a bit but a brisk North wind kept it feeling cold. Tomorrow's forecast is clear with a high of 59°. Sunday is supposed to be about the same.
Naturally I have plans for both days and won't have a chance to enjoy the weather. The forecast has low sixties slated for Monday. You will definitely find me playing golf and soaking up the rays. Fifty percent chance of snow Wednesday.... gotta love Kansas.

The weatherman was finally right and it snowed today as predicted.
It started late last night and continued through the early hours and then intermittently throughout the day. Around eight inches has fallen so far and more is coming. I'll be surprised if I get more than an additional two inches. Winds are out of the North and gusting up to 50 mph. The clearing the walk and drive today will prove to be only good exercise. It's currently 15° with wind chills in the negative single digits. My unusually warm winter was nice while it lasted.

Yesterday it was so nice that I played golf. Today the wind is ripping with gusts exceeding 50mph and currently 65°. Tomorrow the predicted high is 29° with three to six inches of snow. Kansas.....

Let's do the week in retrospect. Last Friday The weather turned mild and headed into the 50's, then Sunday, arctic air moved in and the coating of snow we were forecast turned out to be a 5 inch "coating". Temps on Monday bottomed out around 10°F. Thursday we hit 68°F with thunder. Overnight a front moved through with wind gusts in excess of 60 mph and tonight's low is in the teens.

I know March is supposed to come in like a lion, but will somebody please shoot the February kangaroo?

I ended up with nine inches of snow. It's supposed to get into the low forties today so the roads should do some melting. I've not been out of the house but I'm sure the main roads and all highways are cleared already. We needed the moisture so I'm not complaining.

I prefer a good snow pack that lasts until spring, rather than all this snow/melt rinse and repeat nonsense. However the weather is like a spouse -- the more you try to anticipate their behavior, the angrier they get. ;)

I just got in from clearing my walk and drive. It appears that I got rain that froze prior to the snow. Hopefully the thin ice will melt now that the snow is off of it. Otherwise, it was much easier to walk with the snow on it and removing it was a big mistake.

I'm getting my weekly snow. I don't think this one is going to amount to much. It's been snowing since the wee hours but it is a very light small flaked snow. It has managed to cover the ground but I don't think I'll be shoveling this one. Currently it's 15° with a North wind of 10mph gusting to 20.

The weather is windy and overcast, but I looked at the forecast and soon it will be sunny and we will be able to run soccer with my friends.

So according to the weather people, they are expecting several states to get snow, maybe 1-2 inches over the next few days. Apparently it's going to be the last of winter weather, after that it's going to spring time
