It warmed up great here and most all of the snow is gone now. There are just lines of snow that was shoveled off drives and melting mounds in parking lots left. It got to 60° today and tomorrow is supposed to be the same or warmer. It is supposed to cool off some heading into the weekend but no more -17° in the forecast.
They forecast a coating to 1" of snow yesterday before it changed to rain. It's clear the clouds don't watch the weather channel since it never got the memo to change over to rain. 5" of snow later, I'm out there in the dark trying to clear my driveway (again). Today they are forecasting a slight chance of flurries in the afternoon, so I'm expecting either a foot of snow or sunny and 80°F.
March did indeed come in like a lion. We've had 50 mph gusts and the temps dropped back to 22°F (wind chills around 0°F). Winter certainly isn't finished with us yet.
It's 51.1° now with zero wind. I don't know how warm it got today but I worked in my back yard most of the day in a t-shirt. It had to be in the mid sixties or so. Simply beautiful.
This doesn't feel right, I am all confused , I have an urge to wear shorts and a t shirt , but logically i know its still winter so I should wear pants
When I woke up this morning it was 19°F. By tomorrow the high is supposed to be flirting with 70°F. I think we need to release some atmospheric Prozac because the weather is having a bipolar episode.
I'm getting some much needed spring rain. So far .89" of rain and one spell of pea sized hail that almost covered the yard. A very typical system for this time of year complete with thunder and lightening.
So for about the last two weeks I was in Texas, 70-80 degree weather, beautiful, broke out the shorts
Yesterday I was in New Mexico wake up to snow on my windshield
This morning this 19 degree stuff, not cool
I have had enough of winter
1.24 inches of rain yesterday. It was cold so lots of it fell as snow. It didn't accumulate and we needed the moisture so it's all good. Now let it warm back up and I'll be a happy man.
